Wire wrap bib necklace with opalite wolf, white cherry blossom flowers, and White Opal Swarovski crystal pendants. OPALITE (also known as Sea Opal or opalised glass) is a man-made gemstone known for it's striking appearance - it fluoresces with a pale blue glow in daylight, and intensely under UV light. The photos were taken in full sunlight, where the effect is most obvious. The wolf pendant itself changes to glow vivid orange under direct lighting, like a burning coal. I chose milky White Opal Czech beads and opal/silk blend Swarovski crystals to complement her - weaving them into a freeform wire wrap bib necklace with a lot of time,copper wire and small leaf charms in copper and bronze. The result is a unique fantasy necklace flowing with organic patterns and layers of tiny crystals. The copper was then tarnished to tone down the shine, match the leaf charms and give it an ancient heirloom / antique relic effect. The bib was then encrusted with more small crystals and seed beads in milky White Opal colour, and finally 3 large Swarovski pendants suspended underneath, with 2 smaller blossom shaped crystals. Suspended from a copper chain featuring flower and cross motifs. Fastens with a bronze hook clasp and adjustable rear beaded chain with a star charm on the end. MEASUREMENTS: BIB is 16cm wide by 14cm long, including the crystals underneath / 7 by 5.5 inches. CHAIN is 41 cm long (adjustable) // 16 inches Want it longer?
