I have been using pepper grinders in my kitchen and cooking for three decades and each time I buy one....... it lets me down. Not this grinder. This grinder is very well made and looks awesome. It uses the top nut to adjust the grind and with a little usage you will know how tight or loose you need to set it to get what you want. It grinds ultra fine all the way through ultra coarse.HIGHLY Recommended

I love a good pepper grinder. This one looks so classy on my kitchen countertop and is easy to crank. It dispenses an appropriate amount of pepper. It's easy to refill, as well. Now I'm going to gift one to my father, another black pepper lover.

I wasn't sure about the cost/value of this pepper mill. But when I received it, and compared it to the one I already have, there is a difference. This is high end and you can tell. It looks exactly as pictured. It has a good feel to it, it's heavier than my old one, but not overly heavy. It works more smoothly than my old pepper mill, too. I think the value depends on the buyer. I like it, and it is pretty enough to leave out on my counter, so that is a plus.

I have owned smaller sizes of this style of grinder and always wanted the largest size like this one. Now that I've used it, I have no regrets. The wood is weighty and thick and unblemished. It has a little s tastefully etched on the top knob to denote salt. The knob screwed off easily and it was easy to fill. It holds a heaping 1/3 cup (so probably 1/2 cup total). The grinding mechanism yields a uniform grind. The diameter is a nice size and easy to grip and twist without strain. Now I am ready to purchase the matching pepper mill.

This is gorgeous in our kitchen. It's nice and heavy and the wood finish is beautiful. It has a large capacity, I don't anticipate having to refill it anytime soon. The grind is adjustable and operation is smooth, it's a major improvement from the plastic costco grinder we've been using.
