I bought this with the intention of sawing the handle off and using it as a hand-held body brush. It works okay for that, but I have to say that the designer of the long handle should be made to use this thing. It seems actually designed to be unable to be gripped--sloping the wrong way and far too wide. Maybe designed for alien hands!Beyond that, once I cut off the handle and threw it away it worked okay. The bristles are natural and a reasonable compromise between stiff enough to scrub feet and soft enough for most everywhere else. They are died though, and leached black die out for about half a dozen showers. The bristles fall out; mostly during the first couple of showers but they continue to do so slowly.What a truly dumb back brush design... Made to look cool in a guest bath? You wouldn't be treating your guests very well if you put one in there.

I would give it 1 star but I wanted people to read this and I think most people discard 1 star and 6 star reviews, I know I do. So imagine riding down the road on your bike holding on to a flat handlebar... or grab a baseball bat with a flat grip! you get the picture? Well the designers of this little brain fart didn't get it....nope not one bit! Not even the soap has hit the shower floor more than this useless exercise in frustration. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

I absolutely love this brush. The bristles have just the right amount of firmness to scratch that itch without gauging your back. The handle is pretty and has a slot for attaching rope or whatever. I bought this about 9 months ago and haven't seen any sign of mildew or sogginess even though I leave it in the shower.

I love the handle. It is easier to use because of the design. The bristles are nice and firm. Overall, a high quality product.
