Worked great for a Christmas hot toddy I was making that required about 10 teabags to simmer in a sauce pan. Held together nicely without popping open. Seems like it's made with decent materials & craftsmanship; I'm sure it'll last as long as I take good care of it. The basket is really big. You should be able to fit some shorter cinnamon sticks in there.I wish the chain were a little longer. I tried it in my big stock pot, hoping the chain and weird little clip would be able to affix to the pot's handle, but that keeps the basket right up at the top of the pot instead of way down in where the spices can mingle in the liquid better.

We needed a new one, and wanted a big one. The two halves are supposed to twist and lock in place, with a groove on one and a dimple on the other. But the metal band is so thin and flexible that you can very easily turn it past the locking feature. Works o.k., but I was hoping for better.

This product worked okay the first few times I used it. A con was that I couldn't reopen it while using it in hot liquids because it would seal too tight. My most recent time using it, I could not open it again after. I waited a full 24 hours to get the temperatures and metals to even out, but still couldn't open it. I was using it to make mulled wine, so while attempting to open it was getting red wine stains on my hands and apron.Will not repurchase, looking for a different solution.

Metal mesh comes apart at the seam after removing the top cap. The cap is a tight fit which makes it difficult to open. Thin chain attachment breaks easily.

This strainer is amazing. I make entrees in which I put jars of seasonings. It is always a challenge to skim the bits of seasonings out of the pan. Tea balls are usually too small. I used this on a corned beef recipe and I am shocked. The flavor of the meat was wonderful and there were no floating items in the pan.

After playing with it, it works well. I wonder how long it will last.

This works great for making large batches of sun tea or kabocha. No tea gets out , so no floaters. Rasy to use and clean.

Material, durability & quality of product is great as of now. I’ve used twice & did what I needed it to do. It was fairly easy to clean with a brush as well. Great item! Thank you.
