My hair reaches down to my mid back & is wavy-ish. I have used a hair stick before but wanted to try a French pin. This hair pin is about 5-6 inches long & feels very durable compared to plastic hair accessories. The metal is smooth & stays in very well. It feels very secure in my hair. The learning curve is definitely way shorter with this hair pin vs a hair stick. Overall, it does a great job & I would highly recommend!

Amazed. I cannot find a claw clip large enough to hold ALL of my hair, yet this hair pin holds all of it! This picture is my 3rd attempt trying -- the first 2 attempts felt too tight. Which I also think is impressive, because I thought it might not hold all my hair securely! I've never been able to get a bun to look this cute with just hair ties! Definitely recommend trying it out.

The French hairpin is well made. The metal is heavy and substantial unlike cheap ones. It’s worth the higher price for the excellent quality.It doesn’t stay in my hair. I think this has to do the the of my hair. It’s also probably user error.If you are looking for a high quality French pin that suits your hair style, this is a very good one.

it’s great and i love it! but knocked off a few stars because it’s a little beat up. not sure if it’s from the packaging or what but due to the uneven and beat up surface it pulls on my hair when putting the pin in and out :( if that problem was fixed though it’d be the perfect pin!

This pin is great and very sturdy. I like the look and I haven’t seen any signs of wear in the gold finish. My hair is long (to the small of my back) and layered and I have multiple ways I can wear this pin in cute styles.

I love this hair pin! I have 3B, fine, curly hair that reaches to about my collar bone. It took me a few tries to get the pin to hold my hair, but ever since I figured it out, it has been such a level-up to my hair game. It gives such an elegant, chic twisted up-do look. I love that it sits flat against your head, as opposed to a claw clip which juts out. Plus, it holds my hair tightly for an entire workday which I think is a minor miracle. Highly recommend!

I’m obsessed. It’s my new favorite hair tool. I do think it would work slightly better for someone with a bit more natural texture (my hair is thick but super straight and a little fine), but I’ve figured out my tricks to keep it from slipping. 10/10
