Uploads the propane level daily at the same time and charts it with the daily temp showing how much you used. Customer support has been excellent when I had a simply question.

The Tank Utility remote device is a wonderful way to keep track of your propane usage and know exactly how much propane you have available instantly with the Tank Utility app on your smartphone. And yes the app is free. It only takes a few minutes to install and mounts on your tank with 2 strong built in magnets. It monitors your propane usage and temperature 4 times a day and once a day reports how much propane you have left and how much you have used and what the lowest temperature was for that day with a graph display. The unit is very well made and has a watertight housing with no buttons. The unit is activated and manipulated by a little included magnet on the cable that works very well. The unit comes with 4 lithium double a batteries pre installed which powers the unit for about 4 to 5 years. You can even put in your propane providers information which will then let you order exactly how many gallons you need with a push of a button on the app. This device is absolutely brilliant, well made of good materials and works very well IMO. Oh and the customer support is amazing too. The Tank Utility people are there to answer any questions you may have and are very knowledgeable and helpful. If you don't have WiFi Tank Utility does make a cellular version of this unit that works with the smartphone app as well. Although I do not see it on Amazon yet for purchase. I have used both versions and they both work very well. Anyone that wants to track their propane usage and never run out of gas should consider this device.

I recently had a generator installed with two 120 gallon propane tanks. I'm used to oil as a heating fuel and automatic delivery. I rarely check the oil gauge, even though it is readily visible on the tank in the basement. I can't imagine me always running outside and lifting the cover on the tanks to check the propane level. My generator will be "exercising" weekly and I think that having a remote propane gauge monitor is worth its weight in gold! Especially during the winter months.The device attached easily to the "remote ready" gauge and the wifi setup worked as directed. I really like gadgets and gizmos and this is one of my favorites. It offers user-adjustable-low-level and offline notification options. I agree with what others have stated, this device gives peace of mind

This is a super easy install and config. Product works as advertised, most of the low marks are due to the simplicity of the app on your phone. The goal is to see propane levels, and this app checks once a day, time based on activation time, if you connected at 1:06PM then that is when you will see it each day.Only parts Tank needs to work is communications. You should give a way to upload pics instead of depending on e-mail and time of response could be a little better.

This product generally worked well for the first 6 months. I used the recommended Lithium batteries, mounted it to a wood stake above the buried tank and it started to fail to update daily. Then it dropped the WiFi connection frequently and could only be reconnected by resetting the unit using the magnet. After doing this a few times it failed to connect. I tried a few additional times to get it to connect with no success. I have an outdoor webcam nearby and it stays connected to the WiFi.

I had an issue mounting the sensor on my tank due to the arrangement of the pipes and covers on the tank. The help I got online from the support staff was top notch. Every question I asked was answered and I was reassured all would go well as I was nervous about removing part of the dial on the tank of propane. They assured me it was safe and I just finished installing it and it seems to be working great. (For the last 30 minutes anyway.) If the device works as well as the support team, I'll be very pleased.

Good item works well along with generator monitor. Easy to install using wi-fi. Must have for second homes.

VERY good solution to avoid having to go to my house (3 story) upper floor to test the capacity of my tank.Nice support, when my 1st device failed to work... inmediate replacement
