Not your average romance...
Night Moves is book 3 in the Night Fever Serial. I read the last 3.5 books in two days. I could not put them down and had to keep reading to see what would happen next and eventually how it would end in book 4. This type of reading is bittersweet because, well, you found a story that keeps you so engrossed but then it’s over before you’re ready to say goodbye.Revenge. Revenge can be a huge motivator just like money. Throughout the serial thus far we have seen the choices each character has made when money is in the picture. Now in Night Moves we see the domino effect those choices have caused and revenge becomes the predominant theme to the story. How much sabotage and secrets can a relationship take? How long before everyone is left hurt and alone? How far will the revenge go or will love conquer all? These are the types of things the storyline of Night Moves makes you think about. Could you forgive betrayal…how much? Do two wrongs make a right…or does everyone just get burned in the end?Beau has made some bad decisions thus far but does that make him a bad man? He’s a hard worker, lets Lola be who she is, loves who she could become, and helps the little man along the way without a need to boast about it. On the other hand, he also puts work in front of most things, holds on to a grudge, and holds money and power high up on his list of self worth. Each of these things and more could go into a pros and cons list to weigh out good or evil…but is it really that simple? Beau made mistakes (big mistakes) but he still pulled at my heartstrings. If he is evil…does that make him unworthy of Lola’s love?Lola is in over her head. She went from living a simple life with the man she thought she was supposed to be with to a complicated game of a life with a man with more layers than the amount of suits he surely owns. She’s in love but she’s been hurt by both the simple love she had and the complicated love she’s in. She’s faced with big decisions…heal and forgive or anger and revenge. If you’re looking for the simple story of ‘quiet girl meets bad boy and turns his life upside down until all he’s sees is her’ than this is not the story for you. But The Night Fever Serial has depths and a whole hell of a lot of secrets and suspense. I read late into the night with these books and stayed up way passed my bedtime in anticipation of what would happen next. I am seriously in love with the serial and encourage everyone to check it out. It truly is one of a kind and unlike any other story I have read.

Sometimes it just isn't good to mess with a woman's heart. Beau tore Lola up; she fell in love with him, she was going to change her entire life for him, only to find out he has been setting her up for the past ten years. He wanted her to pay for being a kid with integrity; she was a stripper he thought he could buy, when he couldn't buy her he decided he would make her pay. This series is interesting...first you really start to dislike Johnny for being selfish and lazy, then it turns dislike to Beau for being a self important millionaire but, this book has turned me against Lola. I get why she did this but, I don't like they way she goes about it. She could have just stayed gone after Beau broke her heart; she turns into a cold, bitter, vengeful woman. All the men in her life have used her, walked on her, and left her alone. Her father walked out, Johnny wouldn't have defended or protected her for anything and Beau bought her because he could and he felt like she needed that lesson; I guess that was the last draw for her. Beau has been making an effort to right his wrong, to put her first though he still worked a lot. Still he is about being self important and having money when Lola has never cared. This isn't love, this is just a mean game aimed at hurting the other person; Lola and Beau are soon going to learn hurting the other only hurts them worse in the end. Will Beau find her? Forgive her? Will Lola start her new life? Will she sincerely be able to give Beau up for good? Life had always been lonely for both, but now that they have had each other, alone isn't going to work...the pain may not be gotten past though.

Revenge is sweet, or is it?
4.5 stars. Lola concocts a plan to get back at Beau right where he hurt her, in the heart. While she isn't a vindictive person, her plot for revenge will definitely teach Beau a much needed lesson. In the meantime, Lola has to play a part which involves getting closer to Beau, gaining his trust and allowing their emotions to get intertwined.Beau thrives on power and money, those are his answers to everything. He gives up his time for work so that he can have more power and money because that is what he's been groomed to do for the last decade. He doesn't have anyone looking after him, but living with Lola for 3 weeks gives him a glimpse of a different life, but Beau is too busy to appreciate it fully. He isn't going to change his lifestyle for anyone but he's happy to provide for Lola. As much as I love Beau, I can't say that I liked this side of him and how he continues to manipulate and bend Lola to his will, even though he is the one who brought her back to being who she really is.Lola's scheme is clever and calculated. Her strength lies in being able to pick up the pieces and to continue forward without showing weakness. And Lola isn't weak by any means because no amount of money or power will persuade her otherwise. I couldn't blame her for wanting to bring Beau down because she deserved better and he could have been that guy if he wanted to be. This series is addicting. Can't wait to read how it all ends in the next book.
