great for pcb, MAYBE light laser engraving,THATS IT.
Absolutely worthless for anything but pcb milling and maybe light laser engraving work, but even then expect issues. the motors are too weak, the spindle is a joke (and I mean the upgraded spindle), the vertical gantry parts are too flexible, the smooth rod is to flexible, the threaded rod is too small of a diameter, the motor to rod coupler tubing is weak, the usb interface is unreliable, the software is super buggy. I've spent months and over double the original purchase price trying to get to a workable machine for soft wood milling.Save your money. your better off building your own machine with 8020 extrusion and parts from instructables, software and electronics from planetcnc. also look at arduino options for electronics.I don't think they mean to make a terrible product, it's just the limitations of the price point more than anything. Though getting tech support takes days to weeks between each email which makes fixing issues a long term project.
