Excellent quality and great service.
Good quality item, comes with grease and 3 shims but only needed to fit 2. Once fitted our Gtech vacuum returned to being quiet, working like new and with no grinding noise. A very easy fix but there are YouTube videos showing how to fit this item.

Amazing
I’m so impressed with this item. Was easily fitted and my Gtec is working again. A great price considering a part from the manufacturer was costing £70. They wouldn’t sell this one part but had to replace with a whole system.

Seems very good but slight question mark over durability.
Like so many others, our Airram started making loud screeching sounds and - on closer inspection - I found that the brushes were no longer turning. These are the classic symptoms of a stripped drive gear.GTech don't sell this component to the public, so the only solution would have been an expensive repair but fortunately, this replacement part was available from First4Belts.Fitting it is easy but quite time consuming. I say it's easy because I spent my childhood playing with Meccano and other mechanical things, so you should perhaps make a judgement about your own skill level before going ahead with the repair. The component you have to replace is buried very deeply in the machine, so you have to undo a lot of screws and bolts and remove a lot of bits of your machine before you get to the gear in question. Fortunately, there are some good guides to doing this on Youtube. Search for "Gtech AirRam Brush Drive Gear Assembly Replacement" and you'll find a good one (although it does contain one small error, which I pointed out in the comments section). Remember as you're taking it apart that you have to put it back together, so try to be orderly about where you put the pieces and the various screws etc. as you remove them so that you put the right ones back where they came from when putting it back together. You need a Torx T10 screwdriver. The little one provided with the gear is unusable so you need to buy a proper one before you start. The whole thing takes about 45 mins to complete. So, I did this repair in March 2018 and the machine seemed like new again. Until a week ago, I would have given it an unreserved 5 stars. However, it failed again recently (June 2018) and I've had to replace it for the second time in less than four months.Perhaps I was unlucky; perhaps, the machine jammed on something and stripped the thread; perhaps the new one will last for years. Anyway, given that the first one only lasted three months, I've knocked off one star. If the same thing happens again I'll have to lower the rating a lot as it must mean the component isn't as durable as the original. On the other hand, if the new one lasts a long time, I may come back and up this rating on the assumption that it failed for some other, external reason.

Make sure it is correctly shimmed.
A very old air ram brushes that had stopped turning I replaced the original plastic drive that had the teeth stripped. This one should last for a very long time. Very handy to have the correct screw bit as part of the kit.

Did the job perfectly
Very pleased as I managed to disassemble the Gtech and fit the parts supplied.... but damn it why does it always seem that you end up with one screw at the end of putting it all back together however careful you are .... it still works okay 🤣
