These spoons were exactly what I was looking for to replace some very old ones carved from mesquite. They are not real heavy but the bamboo is very strong and a good choice for them. I make Hersheys fudge receipe in three batch loads and they are great. I have broken several wooden spoons which were fairly heavy but would not take the pressure of beating that big a receipe. These are the going to be the answer. Have used them twice already.

We actually were looking for something long enough and sturdy enough that our 1 year old son could help us cook from a safe enough distance. This has been perfect. A bit hard to find a place to store them since 2 ft is a bit bigger than you realize with a spoon. But this has fit our need perfectly.

It's what I ordered and worked great. My purpose was for a chili cookout in cast iron pot over the fire. Thought I would need the length of the spoon to stay far enough away from fire. Was hard to get leverage with that length, so choked down on the spoon. Did what I needed and will use in future for more soups over the fire.

For me, the main selling point for the spoon is its length.We need something long to stir hot cocoa in a coffee urn--we made it at our school's movie night.It works great!!!
