Travels with My Father: Life, Death, and a Psychic Detective Hardcover – September 30, 2013

This book is truly unreal! I literally read it within about 5 days. Nancy really went into immense detail about her spiritual gifts, family stories & experiences. I laughed, cried, & felt so connected to every single chapter, I highly recommend this book for a great read !

I couldn't put this book down. I would recommend it especially to people who have some abilities and need to get more understanding of what this gift means. Thanks Nancy!

I saw Nancy Myer on some cable show about a psychic working with a detective, and I thought she was just marvelous. I would have liked to have heard more stories about her helping detectives and how, together, they got the bad guys. She writes a lot about her family, which -- God bless them -- I'm less interested in. But it is a good book as is and I just think she's great.

Enjoyed so much that I read it too fast just to find out what was going to happen. I will read again but not at bedtime. I would share this book with friends.. but I got it for my kindle. Now I can reread later because I won't be wondering who did I lend this to? Did they return it?

I rated this one star by mistake when scrolling and Amazon would not let me undo it. I changed it to five stars so it wouldn’t negatively impact this seller. I have not read this book yet.

This was a very good book to read! Dr. Myer provided us with her gifted insight and personal account, letting us know that there are forces out there greater than we may be aware of. Thank you Dr. Myer for sharing your story with us and for the good works that you do helping people!

I loved this book, years ago I had a reading with Nancy and this book makes me want to go back to visit her. She was right on her predictions and I would love to have at least a phone reading......She certainly has a Gift!

I loved this fascinating glimpse into the life of a psychic. Whether true events or just ghost stories it gave me the shivers and was surprisingly quite an enjoyable read.

I have admired Nancy Myer's work with the police. Her book is written almost like a diary describing her family life and some situations in which her dead father helped her, in a dialogue format. The communication with her father didn't stop after his death and she even saw him with her eyes as he was strong enough to materialize even if he was not warm like living people. He warned her many times so that harm could be prevented. The writing style was very clear and simple. I expected more information on some questions that we all have on life and death. My main question would be 'why is there this dark side of humanity'? Do these accidents have a special meaning? Why are people killed is such a bad way? Is it karma? If it is, then are we allowed to prevent it? I was a little disappointed that the author didn't provide answers to these and other questions. I've found the book to be a bit overpriced as compared to its content.

Really interesting read. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
