research before you buy
I have a severe case of RLS/WED. I do think that stretching is helpful to some degree, it doesnt make the restless go away. There is no cure for RLS. This item description is kinda misleading. Cramping is not a symptom of RLS. Do some research on the web before you decide to buy this.

Finally, help is here for restless leg syndrome
Awesome!!After buying and viewing this DVD I have decided to keep a copy in my waiting room and send a copy home with my RLS patients.I am an Internal Medicine MD in rural Kansas. I have practiced medicine here for 30 years. This DVD will be an adjunctive treatment for all of my patients with RLS. This DVD will help you avoid trips to the Doctor. If you have restless leg syndrome, please buy this DVD.

Only for Some People - Read This First
In some ways, I would give this 3 or 4 stars. In other ways, I'd give it zero.The (removed the word book - should have written DVD) title implies it is for RLS (also known as WED, Willis Ekbom Disease), but there are no cramps associated with RLS/WED, so why is that included on the cover? Also, the marketing implies that RLS/WED is caused by lack of flexibility. While there is much more to learn before the researchers know the cause, so far flexibility is not one of possible causes. From research, we do know that there are several differences in the brains and brain chemistry of those who have it. These differences include a lower amount of iron that reaches certain brain cells, a shortage of dopamine, dopamine regulation, and other differences. More importantly, the marketing information written about the book implies that stretching can alleviate the need for medication is you suffer from RLS/WED. That is not true in many cases and, in my opinion, shouldn't be said.Some people with mild to moderate symptoms do not need regular (or possibly any) Rx prescriptions for their symptoms. Most of these Rx prescriptions have side effects and shouldn't be used without great need. In that way, this book is helpful - to show specific stretches that can reduce symptoms when you are having them. For that part, I'd give this 3 to 4 stars. Doing these stretches, however, will not prevent symptoms from recurring, most likely, which is important to know. There is some research to show that regular exercise can help in reducing symptoms; I suppose regular stretching might fall in that category and could be helpful in that way.Anyone with severe symptoms - more than 4 or 5 days a week for an hour or many hours at at time - will not find stretching to allow them to sleep when symptoms are active. Sure, during the active symptoms stretching may relieve or reduce RLS/WED symptoms, but as soon as or shortly after you stop, the symptoms will be right back. Very few people who take medication for severe WED/RLS will find a solution through stretching or any other activity. They stretch, jog, dance, walk, do yoga, etc. because it's the only way to cope with the sensations and the strong urge to move.I wish the marketing of this and the title were less confusing. It may not have been deliberate, but it bothers me that some people will spend what might be more than they can afford for something that will not help them. It also doesn't market it to people who might benefit, such as people who do get leg cramps (which are NOT part of WED/RLS).Before you buy this, I highly suggest reading some of the materials on the WED Foundation - they are free and may help people much more than this. If you decide that you have mild to moderate symptoms and that stretching is something that may help, try some internet research first. You may find you can help yourself for a much lower cost. If you find stretching helps, then by all means this would be a good resource to have.

A Powerful and enjoyable way for relief of Restless Leg Syndrome
This DVD is a must for everyone with Restless Legs. It is amazing what stretching can do for you as shown in this DVD. I have had less pain, a lot more flexibility, but most of all, I am sleeping a whole lot better. It's great to get relief without having to take medicine. I can also climb stairs now with a lot less effort. I have so much more energy. Lillie

I was totally skeptical...Not anymore!!!!!
I was very surprised at the advice of this doctor...in all the years I have suffered with restless leg, this is the FIRST time anyone has suggested stretching before bed...it makes perfect sense...your legs get restless because they tense up...he is very though with his explanation of how to do stretches the correct way for the most benefit...his wife helps him to demonstrate most of the stretches...very easy to understand exactly what and how to do them correctly...he also talks about supplements...what each one does and how important it is to helping relieve your symptoms...he is very clear that you should talk to your doctor before taking any...but very very informative...he also explained that some things work for some and not others...just keep trying different things until you get relief...I tried the stretches immediately and gained some relief right away...all I have ever heard was take pills...take pills...this is natural home remedies/home treatments...I received this item at a discount in exchange for my unbiased review.

and I loved it so much that I decided to go ahead ...
I had the opportunity to see this video before it became available on Amazon, and I loved it so much that I decided to go ahead and buy one to keep for myself. I used to have excruciating cramps in my feet and lower legs when I was in bed, but these stretches have gotten rid of those cramps entirely. The instructions on this DVD are clearly given and I always know what I'm supposed to be doing, and it's hard to do the stretches wrong because of the visual examples and the vocal instructions together. It does seem to have been recorded with a home video camera, but I did not find this distracting, and the content is great. I would recommend this product to anyone!

Holistic Approach to Restless Leg Syndrome Relief
As a former nurse practitioner, I really appreciate this multifaceted approach to treating restless leg syndrome. I have personally taught these stretching exercises (which Dr.Lang taught me years ago) to others with various muscle spasm problems; they do work well. In addition this DVD gives instruction on nutrition and on micronutrients which can be absorbed through the skin and by mouth to decrease the spasms. Finally, the buyer can download relaxation music and a copy of the DVD directly to a portable device to be used anywhere. I highly recommend it.

Excellent program! Very informative and thorough
Excellent program! Very informative and thorough. Multi-dimensional approach which addresses many causes of/contributors to restless leg syndrome. Includes stretching exercises, nutritional advice, and other information that promote restless leg relief and improved general well being. I choose to avoid medication whenever possible, so I especially appreciate this program, as it focuses on relief through natural means.
