I ordered this after spending entirely too much time trying to locate my original adapter. I figured it would be delivered in two days and all I wanted was to jam to some music on my old surround sound system that requires an auxillary hook-up. I pressed the order button first, and then started reading reviews later. This thing didn't work for anyone that bought it! I tried to cancel the order but it was too late. It got delivered yesterday, and I figured it was loss so I didn't even attempt to restart the phone or follow any of the other instructions on the package. I just plugged it in to my phone and then plugged in the auxillary cord to the adapter. When I did, my phone said that it found a device named "DAVE", so I selected that and turned up the volume on my sound system, nothing happened. So, I switched the play function back to "PHONE", and WALLAH! It worked. I only used it yesterday for about 30 minutes while I was home power-cleaning on my lunch break, but I can't see any reason this won't work the next time I plug it in.

I loved this thing, I only use it in my car and I don’t drive very often but it was so great being able to charge your phone while listening to music on long trips. The connnection/sound was great at first... so I bought it June and it’s now September. Haven’t hardly used it (since I don’t drive often, I also take care of it, not letting it get stepped on by any passengers, etc...) now it has a weird buzzing sound and doesn’t always connect and I have to unplug and replug a couple times tonget it to register. I has to be positioned at a certain angle to keep the buzzing from happening.

I’ve had this for a month now and it’s been giving me issues. It worked great at first, and then the sound would go out every once in a while while I was listening to music. It only happened a few times and all I had to do was unplug it and then plug it back in again and it would work, so I wasn’t bothered by it. Now however, the sound is going out much more frequently-I’m talking every few minutes. It works when plug it back in but then goes out again a little later, to the point where It’s almost unusable. I haven’t abused this product in any way and I’ve only had it for a month. Wish it had a longer life.

Had the block style adapter that couldn’t be used with my otter box case. This works perfect. Seems to be made very well, and it’s definitely not as flimsy as the factory earphone dongle that came with my iPhone, and does not impede my ability to charge my phone, with earphones connected.Yes, wireless earphones are simpler for connection purposes, but this adapter makes it a lot easier to carry a simple, cheap pair of earbuds in my pocket, rather than dragging my $400 pair of beats around with me.

I don’t ever leave bad reviews unless I’m truly disappointed with the product. This seemed like a good price , but point blank, it sucks . I’m not sure if I just got a defective one or what but it’s super static and cuts in and out constantly. It’s currently doing this as I’m writing this. Save yourself the constant frustration and don’t buy this. Spend the extra money and get a better one.

Haven’t even had this product for 2 months and it’s not working. The port that plugs into my phone keeps charging and not charging every few seconds and I can’t hold a charge on my phone while simultaneously listening to headphones. When I plug in just my charging cable, the port and charge hold fine, so it’s obviously this connector piece.When I bought this item, there were better reviews for it and within the past month the reviews have plummeted. Very promising and glad I’m not the only one this is happening to.Unfortunately it’s too late to send this product back, but I wouldn’t recommend that anyone else buy this device unless you want to shell out more money in a month.

I'm not 100% impressed. It works to listen to the media/music and charge at the same time but I can't use it to listen to my voicemail or to make calls. May not seem strange to you but it is to me. I don't think it is worth the price. I'd give it 5 stars if it was cheaper or was fully functional.

Doesn't work. I've tried more than four times to following the directions on the packaging; even logged into these reviews to see suggestions (all of which I've tried) and still I can't get it to work. Even more frustrating is the packaging the adapter came in says to "PLEASE CONTACT USE !", but they do not include any contact information--no website--no phone number--no email. How am I supposed to contact for guidance. They need to provide better instructions, maybe include graphics/diagrams to help.Bought this for a trip I'm going on, but sadly I won't be able to use. When I return from my trip....this will be going back. Very disappointed.
