Tingkam 5M 5050 Non-waterproof RGB Led Strip Kit for Home,Kitchen,Yard,Bar

I have spent SO much time shopping around for LEDs because I always find a mix of opinions for each product. I'm always worried that I'm putting my money into something that doesn't stay put, or where some of the LEDs are missing/broken, or that I'm buying strips that are so flimsy that they snap as you try to bend them around corners, or cut them for connectors.I'm happy to report that I've finally found a decent LED strip with these. Because they're light (weight wise) and thin, the adhesive used on the back actually keeps them in place (my surprise here is warranted - not all strips get this sort of feedback). Cutting them is easy, and the controller that comes with it lets you fully customise the lights to do all different variations of whatever rainbow you can imagine. The brightness is something you won'ty believe until you install them - it's amazing. I have them behind my monitor at the moment and I've had to reduce the brightness (using the included controller) because of the glare these things give off (which is nothing but a good thing).Pure white: I have to mention this because it's been a bugbear with previous LED strips. I'm not sure whether this strip uses a combination of RGB LEDs, or whether it has a single white LED, but they actually give off a pure white colour. Most of my setup (including LEDs inside my system) are pure white, so I needed colours that matched - these haven't disappointed.The drop in marks for me comes when cutting up the strips. Though easy to cut like I've mentioned above, the strips are SO lightweight that they are really tricky to slide under the pins of corner/extender connectors. On one occasion, I struggled so much that I ended up accidentally splitting part of the LED strip, so I had to cut back to the next cutting point (this losing about 4/5 LEDs). This isn't completely the product's fault, but something to be wary of because few people will run the whole 5M without splitting it up somehow.Overall, though - I'd definitely suggest buying these. They're a refreshing arrival to a market that is saturated with cheap, tatty LED strips that have tried to get in on a boom without investing into the quality first. I'm trying to convince the boyfriend to let me buy more but apparently he's "sensitive to migraines" or something. That's great feedback for a product that aims to give off light.Buy these, you won't be disappointed.

Where to start, this LED strip has far exceeded my high expectations. The packaging was exceptional for the price, and was neat and well organised. I much prefer the black design of the strip, remote and power supply rather than the traditional white, as they are far more discreet.I love how the IR Receiver has a sticky back, as I've mounted it alongside the LED strip under the cabinet where it's out of sight. The LEDs themselves are bright and the colours are rich. The strip feels to be of high quality, and the 3M adhesive sticks well, although to my own fault I didn't clean the surface before applying and they are peeling off, which again, was entirely my fault.The remote is easy to use and allows for fine control of the strips, and can be configured endlessly. We prefer having static colours rather than a fade effect. The effect given by these LEDs is beautiful. As you can see in the attached photos, they look amazing on top of and underneath our kitchen cabinets. We have them running through the gap in the cabinets so only one 5M strip was needed. I also like the ability to adjust the brightness, as some may feel they're too bright at the maximum setting.If there was any gripe for me, it's that the plain white colour does have a slightly light blue tint, at least on our unit (as shown in photo #1). However we aren't too bothered by this.But if you're on the fence, do get the Tingkam LEDs, they're the best quality set I've found on Amazon for the price (other than the absurdly expensive Philips Hue strips). Don't hesitate, you'll be pleased with your purchase, just be sure to clean the surface before applying as I learnt the hard way. You just need to peel away the paper backing then press the strip firmly into place. The LED strip sticks really well with a good bond.The LED strip can be trimmed to the perfect length. Cut markers are displayed at equal distances along the length of strip showing you where you can cut it safely, without causing damage to the lights. A normal pair of scissors easily cuts through the strip.You then need connect the push fit 4 point IR connector into the end of the strip (make sure you get this the right way around, otherwise the lights wont work).The remote control has numerous functions to change the colour of the lights, the brightness and whether you want the lighting static, flashing or fading etc.Pros:-Easy to fitGreat selection of colour choice and effectsCan be customised to the correct lengthCons:-The power leads is too short so you need a plug socket close byOverall this is a great product which I would definitely recommend buying
