It is so inspiring, uplifting and gives so much hope for those who may feel hopeless or alone......but you are never alone with the Good Shepherd at your side as you face the challenges of life.......and what's beautiful and how it in allegory form, it reveals that the Good Shepherd is also the God of the universe who loves you so much!💖🙏🏼😊

My boyfriend and I read this book together after reading and studying Song of Songs. We read it aloud whilst I rested my head upon his chest. It reemphasized that book of the Bible and made it come to life for us. We both had read this book before, but the timeliness of reading it again helped me realize in my current situation I had nothing to fear as the Good Shepherd was with me. My boyfriend reassured me that the memorial stones I collected along my journey were reminders of God's faithfulness! I recommend reading this book even if you've read it before.

After having read this book as a new Christian myself, I gifted it to someone when they became a Christian. It's an allegory; which is a very simple, heart warming story that anyone can understand; even a child, but it compares the Christian experience to a journey. Highly recommend. It's very encouraging & most people can relate to the ups and downs and the feelings you experience.

I love this story and how it is written. The main characters Much Afraid and the Shepherd have captured my heart.

I first read this over 30 years ago. At the time I was deeply impacted by the book, identifying with the central character. Reading it now, the language is more dated and is a barrier, along with some other elements of the story. However, the journey of Much-Afraid to the high places is one that we can still embrace, though now I strongly believe that the Shepherd is more glorious and his love more wonderful than depicted here.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story which was full of twists and turns.Scripture is quoted which links to the plot.This story could certainly be read to young children.God bless you as you read this book.

This book was riveting incredibly filled with vast revelations of Papas heart for His children, if only we would allow Him in, He can transform our lives. If you are hungry for more of God, this is a must read!

A book for those who know Jesus as their Saviour and want to read an allegory of intimacy and unconditional love.
