PEPPLISH PROVISIONS Blueberry Basil Shallot Hot Sauce, 5 OZ

I should have left this review about two years ago when I first bought this. It's amazing. I buy lots of hot sauces. None of them achieve the subtle correct balance of flavor and heat, without too much vinegar, that this does. Far too many use flavorings ("natural flavor"), preservatives, and other junk without using real food. This doesn't rely on any of those gimmicks. This is truly food as art. And..... you can't get it now. Pepplish Provisions has been out of this I think for all of 2021. I hope the company is not a casualty of COVID shutdowns and that this will be available again soon.

What a weird combination I know, but it works together so well. Its got the initial blueberry flavor, but then you get a peppery after taste. (Black Pepper). The heat isn't too hot, but does linger and build the more you eat. I think this is a fantastic sauce and is great on pork.

Was a fan of the cilantro-lime by pepplish but this is even better. Sweet but not overly, a little spicy. Blueberries are the feature of this sauce and they do it right! Plus this company does some good work outside of killer sauces. Recommend.

Last year at thanksgiving this was the biggest hit of the party. This is my second bottle of this flavor and seventh bottle of Pepplish sauce overall. Excited to see them on Amazon so people outside of the NY area can get their hands on it. My favorite flavor is definitely the Peach agave Garlic but Blueberry is a close second. Mango Hickory Garlic is awesome too, but definitely on the spicier side.
