Dans un son mono variable mais toujours plus que correct, une magnifique anthologie Haydn sous la baguette exigeante et inspirée du grand Hans Rosbaud.Bel orchestre du Südwestfunk Baden-Baden, aussi à l'aise dans les classiques que dans les répertoires modernes et contemporains largement explorés par le Maître et ses (alors) jeunes invités (Boulez, Gielen, Maderna, Stockhausen...!)En bonus, les rares enregistrements Haydn / Philharmonie de Berlin / DG stéréo réalisés par Rosbaud peu avant sa disparition précoce... Et dire qu'il aurait été pressenti pour prendre la direction de Chicago !Mais ne cédons pas aux regrets, et réjouissons-nous de disposer d'un coffret qui rejoindra sur nos étagères les autres parutions de cette sensationnelle édition Rosbaud : Brahms, Beethoven, Mahler...Un chef qui (comme Scherchen et Gielen) vous fait toujours ressentir quelque chose de spécial, de particulier : intensité, rectitude, clarté, horreur des attendrissements inutiles. Froid ? Non ! VRAI !Une boîte à acquérir sans hésiter.
