The Da Vinci Code Cryptex Valentine's Day Interesting Creative Romantic Birthday Gifts for Her (6 Rings, Bronze)

Ok, this is pretty cool. It's all metal, not junk. It comes packaged in very thick foam, and has a nice box. Now- all that being said, I'm truly confused as to why it's a "davinci code" puzzle containing a pair of "LotR" The One Rings, plus two necklace straps and ..... a tiny necklace charm of... a ship's anchor? And it's advertised as a valentine gift, but also comes with - not even kidding here - a sympathy card (in this time of sorrow)... So - yeah, I can't even. But the puzzle itself is really cool.

The piece is quite hefty, weighing about 1 pound 7 ounces, so it feels good in hand. The quality of the piece appears to be very good and it has some nice details. The movement of the dials was a bit rough, so when I disassembled it to change the password, I sprayed all of the parts with a PTFE dry lubricant. After reassembly, all of the parts moved smoothly. The only thing I didn't like was the heart shaped cutout. You could probably use a rotary tool to change it to a raindrop, but it does not bother me that much. Overall, I am very pleased and would recommend it.

It's a fairly simple gift, the dials that line up to spell out the code are a bit clunky and you might have some minor issues with lining things up right, but overall for what you pay its worth it.

This was the favorite Christmas gift this year. I hid an extra surprise in it for my husband and he was delighted to have to solve the puzzle to get it. We will keep using it, occasion after occasion, to exchange small gifts. Changing the code is easy and it comes with the screwdriver to do it. It's a fun way to add some romance.

Well made.....very cool conversation piece. We have it on display. It was great fun letting my wife open in on Valentine's Day. She brags about how romantic I am.....not many gifts get a guy that much praise.

So cute! Surprised my man and he loved it, having him figure out the words I put in as the code was the best. We love it!

It's a little tough to get apart at first, but after you break it in a bit it gets easier. I used this codex as a puzzle in a D&D campaign while slowly giving them clues to the password. The players loved it.

i was worried this would be some sort of plastic knock off or something but arrived in the mail and is exactly what i was hoping for. has a nice weight to it but the action is a little ruff. if you buy it you might need to grease it up a tiny tiny tiny bit. easy to customize the combo. not sure why it arrived with a tiny little Anchor though never read or watched the source material. anyway, great purchase Thanks!
