Hawthorne Ave Dining Table - White Counter Height

We bought two of these to save space in our homeschooling/library loft. We pushed two of these together to make a large raised desk area for our laptops or projects the older kids need to keep from the toddlers. For this purpose, they are excellent: Sturdy, high enough, and with the end opposite the shelves against the wall, an exceptional workspace for two people. (We have a cutting board, 18" paper roll, and odds and end supplies in the center and we have plenty of room for laptops, drinks, and planners at the seating areas).Husband said with all the gluing it would have been nice to have an extra set of hands, but he did it himself and they came out perfect. One thing is that one top came dinged a bit, which I would account for packaging needing to be slightly more sufficient. It wasn't enough for us to consider a return on it though. And also he didn't like the braces that back the shelving area. However, likewise, it didn't compromise the integrity of the piece and being that this is in a kid area, not even enough for us to be weary about. We're happy with this purchase.

This product was OK for the money, but the holes didn’t line up when I went to put the table top on the structure. In afterthought I think that I may have had the legs reversed, but it shouldn’t have made a difference. I had to take the pegs and pins from the back part of the table completely out. I secured the top to the legs with a few L brackets. The instructions need some fine-tuning, i’ve been putting together furniture for over 40 years and these were difficult to decipher. All in all we love the table once we got beyond the fitting/alignment issues. Also, I needed more glue than what was provided.

I like the overall look and functionality of this table. But I had to order a new crossbar piece and almost broke it again putting it together. This is definitely a two-person job. Overall, I would rate this product 82/100.

I love this table! I got it for my art studio and it is exactly as advertised. Easy to assemble and move into place. The shelves are sturdy and perfect for storage which I badly needed in my very tiny space. it is just the right height to sit at with a small stool. Regular dining chairs will be too low. Well worth the money.

I recommend 1000% if you have a small kitchen or if you live in an apartment with small spaces this is for you! I’m in love with this table, my mom even came over and wanted one too lol that’s how attractive and yet chic it looks, plus the little storage part in the front adds to its sophistication.Ok so this table is perfect for my needs I’m 5’8” and this table when finished is at my waist level, which I was worried about because I bought 2 barstools from another site that were gorgeous and was crossing my fingers they fit, which they did and it’s a win win!!!!!!Assembly: I’m a male, and trust me I’m not handy at all, however I am good at reading directions to a “T”. However even reading directions took some time, I studied the manual for about 10mins. It can become overwhelming at first when you look at it, however just take a breath and say “you can do it!” I was in no position to give up lol after spending that much money. And if you’re like me, the feeling of accomplishment is amazing.Ok, I assembled this all by myself without any help. First I looked at the hardware kit and counted every piece to make sure the count in the manual is what was in the pack, mistakes do happen and if for any reason you are missing any piece, just call them and they will send you replacements. The contact details will be in the manual.Lay out all your pieces on the floor so they are easy to grab. Once you lay the out then you can start following the instructions precisely. I’m gonna be honest the instructions are confusing because the wooden pegs they don’t specify on each piece, they only had it on one figure and the rest of the figure I figured out that the little drawings look like “pegs” I will upload a pic to show you.... so it helps you clear up any confusion.However after you get past setting up each individual pieces, it’s all about putting it together and locking the pieces in place. It turned out great for me after being persistent. It took me 5hrs lol from 9pm at night to 2am but that’s because I was taking my time and did it want to leave it off for the next day, as tired as I was.The tools needed were just simple things you would have. I have an electric handheld screwdriver that’s battery operated I used that for the screw items because it’s a lot of work to screw those “Cam Lock Screws” in and I do not have the patience for all that! However I am very careful and gentle since the power of those tools can damage the pre-grilled holes and you’ll be in bigger troubles. Just be cautious with you strength and feel the tightness and stop when it’s tight enough.You may need 2 persons to when it comes times to flip it up, however I did it on my own using my sofa as a prop.... instead of laying it flat on the floor for leg assembly.Overall I give it 100 stars and would buy again if needed.Thanks doe reading my review hope it helps you and I have posted pics too of the after!!!!
