Neither my life partner nor I remember which of us first fell in love with "Stevie" by Paul Williams. He got some, I got others. Now we see "Stevie - Series 1 - Book 1-5 : Vol 1 - 5." which contains Plippy Ploppy Rain, Plippy Ploppy Rain Again, Sunny Hot Sun and Seaside.: DrinkyDink Rhymes" in a single box set. Get this -- for those moments when you'd like to throw something, meet someone, save the world or merely shut it out for a time. "But no," you say. "These are kid's books; I'm an adult and a curmudgeonly one at that. All the more reason for you to read these. This series should be named "Read One and Call Me in the Morning." The author is a philosopher for modern times, quick, incisive, gentle with that knife as it slices through the unwarranteds and inconclusives of our under-explored lives to the very bone of truth.

When I saw this collection of children’s book series, I thought I had to get them for my new little granddaughter. It will be something I can keep and read to her when she gets a little older. I think it is a wonderful series and a great way to bring poems into the young one’s awareness. They will love the illustrations of the colorful balloons that will inspire their imagination.

A wonderful collection of stories and poems to introduce young children to the fun of reading.The beautiful illustrations further imagination and the character "Stevie," entices young ones to explore their own adventurous nature.An awesome series of five delightful books, and my granddaughter enjoys reading them to her little brother at bedtime.Highly recommended, sweet and wholesome tales for the family to enjoy together.

I had no idea what I was getting into with Stevie Books 1-5. After reading it I can't wait for Series 2. The only thing I'm irritated about is that I'm going to have this stuck in my head for a very long time now! Trust me and give this one a shot, then thank me later.

The Stevie Series is a fun read for children!I love the illustrations.It’s nice to have these all together.

I got 'Stevie - Series 1 - Books 1-5: Vol 1 – 5' for my three grandkids. They love it and have even memorized some of the witty prose. Very clever and beautifully done: Big Red Balloon, Plippy Ploppy Rain, Plippy Ploppy Rain Again, Sunny Hot Sun and Seaside. I highly recommend!

I bought the first set and loved it. So did my little niece. This is a wonderful book and delightful way to introduce children to the magical world of poetry. I loved these short, illustrated memorable rhymes. It’s a wonderful collection of much-loved and adorable poems. I would highly recommend this book to anyone with kids of any age - it makes a great gift.
