Up to date, helpful.
A good update of this book. Good suggestions. Worth the price just for their glowing recommendation of Lady Elliot Island--a tabulous place to see the Barrier Reef. They missed a truly great B&B in Brisbane: "One Thornbury", west of Chinatown, in Spring Hill.

Covers coastal Queensland only
Comprehensive guidebook but only covers the coastal part of Queensland...and most of the state is inland (the Tablelands and Outback). If you're staying near the coast, this book will be fine for you. If you're going at all inland, check out other guides.

Extremely helpful for sightseeing and good eats.
Extremely helpful for our road trip in Queensland! We traveled from Brisbane and went North up to Noosa Heads. Extremely helpful for sightseeing and good eats.

and it seemed like the recommended restaurants were paid off to be included
The series of these books were just average. They didn't provide sufficient detail for most areas, and it seemed like the recommended restaurants were paid off to be included.

Not Complete or Comprehensive.
The authors of this edition of the Queensland guide appear to believe that "Queensland" consists of a 10 mile wide strip along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. 99% of the state is left out. While past editions included information on the outback this one does not. It contains little information that isn't also present in the "East Coast Australia" guide, making it an absolute waste of money for anyone who already owns that guide.Sadly, it seems to be following LP's trend towards charging more money every year for less information.

Disappointing
Essentially repeats what is found in the LP East Coast Australia book and very disappointing that there is almost no coverage of inland Queensland.

Incredibly disappointing to find almost no information on any of the outback, or, for that matter, of any part a bit of the beaten track. No relevant information if you are looking for a bit (not much) of adventure.
