Product Description Allows joints to be dressed without constraining movement. Provides reliable fixation for catheter and drainage tubes. Water-resistant, with a non-irritating adhesive that acts as an excellent secondary dressing for gauze, foam or gels. Combines security with comfort. Directions Clean the wound, apply the tape over the dressing or tube, and secure it in place. Ensure the tape is not too tight to restrict movement or circulation.

Review: Excellent for mouth taping - I bought this to use for mouth taping for my (very mild) sleep apnea and it works really well. No skin irritation, flexible and thin but really strong adherence to the skin. Not painful to take off. It’s also wide enough that one piece more than covers my whole mouth. I’ve even discovered I can put my lip conditioner (pure lanolin) on *over top* of the tape after it’s on and it will penetrate because the tape is porous — and it actually seems to make the lanolin work better because it isn’t rubbing off, it’s trapped into the fibre of the tape so staying on all night. Combined with no more mouth breathing my chronically chapped lips are healing and smooth. Benefit I wasn’t expecting. A highly quality product no matter the use case, and if you’re a mouth taper, 10/10 recommend.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the tape very thin?  Is the tape shiny or matte?  Is the tape very strong and waterproof?**
A: The tape is very thin and is a matte finish and the tape is very strong but, none of these qualities are what is so important about this tape. This is a dressing tape, made to keep a dressing in place without irritating the skin.

**Q: can tape be put directly on wound**
A: Based on my experience with it (been using it for months) I would not put it directly on an open wound. You could put it on a scar, but be careful peeling it off.

**Q: is the tape invisible?  Is it shiny or matte?**
A: Sorry for the delay... The tape is white. A sort of fabric, so I would say "matte".  There are two really nice things about this tape that I love...1. It has a printed grid on the liner that makes it a snap to cut the correct amount of tape each time, and 2. It doesn't irritate the skin. My Sig.Other has had his face and head bandaged (2 separate surgeries) since January, with no issues at all.

**Q: How do you remove the remaining edges of Hypafix once you peel it off you skin?**
A: Once you peel off this tape, NOTHING remains on your skin. It comes off easily when you pull it away from your skin, and leaves no gummy, sticky adhesive behind.
