The slicer arm became loose during the first use, ...
The slicer arm became loose during the first use, so I tightened the screws underneath that held the arm in place. The screws are cheap and the heads started to strip when I tightened them. I went to the hardware store trying to find stainless steel screws, but they didn't carry such tiny screws - the ones I purchased were a bit too long. So I screwed the originals back in hoping they hold up.

So far I am disappointed with this cheese slicer
So far I am disappointed with this cheese slicer. It is possible that the cheese I was trying to slice was just a little too hard for this to work properly, but the one time I have used it thus far the wire would bend and twist and refuse to cut straight. I have tightened the wire as much as I can but it still warps and twists when cutting.

The best of them
I have used this style of cheese slicer for years and this one is the best of them. The slot goes all the way through so there are no hassles when it is time to clean it. Throw it in the dishwasher and your done. I appreciate that it comes with extra cutting wires. At first I thought that might mean the wires were weak, but that is not the case. They built this thing to last for many years.

The bracket that holds the wire is NOT very secure. The wire is not tight and held so that is will cut straight. Too much play from left to right.

Substandard
Had this slicer for 3 months and it worked great! Then the wire broke. They sent spare wires, but good luck trying to change it. I recycled it with my steel recyclables. What a crappy product!

The packaging was terrible
This product come disassembled and with missing parts. I can't assembly again and I need to trow away. Terrible
