This is the greatest hip hop, dance, breakbeat album ever. Ok, it doesnt actually truly fit in those genres per se, but it is a reference point. No, THE reference point for those involved in the formation of hip hop and modern sampling.Pogo, has collated a faultless collection and however much this album is, its worth it. I was lucky that I picked up on this album when it was first released so have a nice spangly copy, it should be re-released at a proper price and sold to every man woman and child on the planet to make them realise how wonderful dance music can be.Breathtaking.

These are the Breaks ladies and Gentlemen, featuring some bog standard schoolboy stuff (Apache and Jimmy Castor's 'It's just begun' that any beat collector should already have) to rarer gems such as The Soul Searchers fabulous 'Ashleys Roachclip'(from which Jazzie B jacked the infamous 'SoulIISoul' drum break that he used on every tune !), the amazing Vibrettes 'Humpty Hump', The Theme from SWAT (the break to the classic 3rd Bass 'Portrait of the Artist as a Hood' remix) and the timeless 'God Made me Funky' in its full length outing.This in my book set the Harmless ball rolling - collect 'em all for since this release, every one's a winner.

Well, this is really a must-have for any deep & soulful house fan. Most of the tunes featured on this album were produced by Kerri Chandler himself during the past 5 years.Kerri's selection is beautiful : georgeous vocals, deep synth and kickin' groovy bass. Do not expect cheesy dance with a 140 BPM tempo... this is rather a smooth journey into the deepest quality house, the whole perfectly mixed by one of the most productive and talented house producer and dj of the 90ies.Get it !
