The Rumford Gardener SL2500 Oscillating Sprinkler Brass

At first, I thought Amazon shipping had just sent the wrong item until I read the comment dated June 15, 2011 which describes the same problem with the product I received. It appears that Rumford substituted the pictured item with a cheaper replacement. The product description refers to a `flow control' feature (which is visible in the picture) that does NOT exist on the unit received. Also, I have a similar sprinkler that has a very simple-to-use `coverage adjustment' mechanism, not the rotating knob that is found on cheaper units. The pictured unit also has this simple-to-use mechanism, but the one I received is that annoying rotating knob mechanism. I wanted this particular sprinkler for the two features previously mentioned. Neither is present on what I got. Also, the product description refers to a coverage of 3200 square feet, but the received unit mentions nearly 3700 square feet (don't care about this much anyway). Rumford's website doesn't have the same picture that Amazon uses. They have a picture of the one I received. I just went back to Home Depot for a replacement unit just like the one I already have.

As previously mentioned here the product that arrives is not what is shown here. It is a much cheaper model. Part metal part plastic. Mine was jammed up upon arrival. With much frustration I did get the unit to sprinkle but not to oscillate. After several failed attempts at making it work I gave up and threw mine in the trash. Save yourself the headache and throw your money away in advance!!

Not only did this item arrive broken, it wasn't even the one shown in the picture ! They sent a Rumford SL2500 model that was made cheaper. Tried calling Rumford and the will not answer thier phone. Asked for email or return call after trying for 12 times ! That in its self tells me NOT to buy this product again.........
