World Domination

It's a great studio album that still manages to convey the energy of seeing the band live.
It was exactly what I expected, a great, well produced, studio album, that faithfully produced the Band Maid sound as heard on non-live videos.Unlike some CDs I do not get track names showing on the display, which is useful if trying to find a favourite whilst driving and is a feature some Band Maid CDs possess.

Great album form a Female Rock Band.
Having played Punk and Rock as a drummer I never thought I'd actually ever see an all girl band whose whole being was as innately pulsating with the essential aggression required to push the beat/s and rhythm in and at a consistent level, well, now I've found that band and the surprise is they are Japanese. All the band deserve a mention; Saiki (vocals), Kanami (Lead Gtr), Miku (Rhythm Gtr), Misa (Bass) and Akane (Drums.)They are touring and growing so fast it's difficult to keep up with how quickly their popularity is spreading. Soon they will be one of the most popular bands across the globe. When America takes a band to it's heart as in this instance, even though most lyrics are still in Japanese that isn't a problem. This is the power of good music proving the point we all know to be true. Their worldwide popularity proves that language is not a barrier to global success as will no doubt become evident in '20 onwards. I shall add the same comments to their other album review as I bought them both at the same time. come on Band-Maid.

World Domination
Brilliant album with some epic rock tunes. I definitely recommend this album to all lovers of rock music. Came quickly and has a double-sided poster too. What's not to love 🤷♀️

Well, this is a surprise.
It is difficult not to parrot what others have said here. This album is awesome. this band are awesome. Probably the best comment I could make is to paraphrase one I found on a YT video of theirs (I recommend checking them out there), which went something along the lines of "As an old rocker, how do I tell my mates that the best thing I've heard in decades is a bunch of Japanese girls dressed as maids?"For me, I can't comment on the quality of the guitar work, or drums, others know more about these things, however, I can comment on the vocals, and Saiki completely blew me away. The sheer energy of delivery is, well, awesome, I highly recommend listening to the the first track for an example, though to be honest, she pretty much gives it her all always. As do the entire band - they seem to be pretty cohesive and they work well together, while at the same time really enjoying themselves in the moment. Can't recommend highly enough.

Just listen
World domination is , marginally, my favourite band maid album from its cover to the music, its not the most diverse of the four albums I have of theirs but it's relentlessly good. Other reviews say it's over produced something I don't hear from repeated listening probably as my music tastes range from classical to folk, pop, rock, metal, alternative, punk and rap etc all of these genres vary widely in regards to varying standards of production and , simply, world domination delivers a great listening experience

A great album from an amazing band
If you like heavy rock, and can get past the fact that it's in Japanese*, this is a great album. There's not a bad song on it, and at least half are real belters. They have a style that just hits that sweet spot time and time again, and even if this album is a little heavier than some of their earlier stuff, it has that Band-Maid DNA running through it, that gives them their rich and unmistakable sound.* I found the Japanese thing a stumbling block at first, but then something clicked and it stopped mattering. I just appreciated the music, and the quality and strength of Saiki, the lead singer's, voice.

Not as good as Just Bring It
Much as I love Band Maid I can’t bring myself to score World Domination a 5/5 and it took me a few listens to work out why. First I should say that there are some cracking tunes on the CD possibly some of the best they’ve done, the problem is the production. The sound on some of the tunes is positively mushy with Kanamis usually razor sharp guitar work not as clear as usual. This isn’t the girls fault, this is down to the tech bods who have not done the band justice at all. It’s a good album and I like listening to it but it should be so much better and given a choice I’m going to play one of the preceding recordings.
