This was in 1969 when I was working in Athens for Lever Hellas (Unilever) that I used to take that road with my guests to experience a spiritual deep feeling with Apollo and perhaps have a vision of their future too. Also the smell of pistachio's being roasted, the earthenware Greek yoghurt pots and the smell of roasted souvlakia for sale from little stalls...oh! my beloved Greece! I bought too as that's easier on the washing machine, however we measured it wrong and will come back for a much much larger rug come September. It's been the best rug we've purchased. **Q: Should these be hoovered or is shaking enough?I have hoovered but it then sheds like billion!** A: I do both. A shaking is often enough but I Hoover when the dog has been lying on it or brought in bits from a walk. I throw it in the washing machine for a fifteen minute wash whenever it looks grubby. I have a very large heavier on in my lounge which I bath,literally with liquid washing solution,rinse and shower it, leave it to drain then dry in the garden Obviously I can only do the big one on a sunny day. But they always come up as new. Never had problems with shedding. **Q: Can this be machine washed on a delicate cycle and would it fit into a standard washing machine** A: Yes they can be washed on a wool wash (delicate) You’ll need to pull it back into shape to dry it as the fibres contract especially around the edges **Q: Does it shed much fibre?** A: No. We've had several and they wash well, dry easily and are cosy.
