Good & Interesting Read
Endless Sands: Arabian Adventures is an interesting read. The supplement for Wizards of the Coast games is detailed and contains quite a wealth of information concerning the cities and wastelands of Endless Sands and Deep Sands areas. I just finished reading the 64-paged book and can't stop gushing about it!I learned quite a bit that could be used for running my own desert campaigns and/or future writings. The information on the nomadic desert tribesmen was a boon as was the history of the cities and their great peoples! Ditto for the new noble classes, the lower classes and the djinn and the sundry other monsters ubiquitious to Endless Sands. It all came together and was great! Now here is why I did not give the supplement a Five-Star rating. First of all, I wish that there had been more maps included in the booklet. The one map inside was not at all detailed. Then there was the art. Larry Elmore and Jim Holloway these guys were not. I wish Avalanche Press had taken the time to hire better artists that could have added much-nneded detail to the supplement's core.Despite the above quibbles, this is a Four-Star rating because of the praises from above. For 64 pages, the supplement is well worth the inexpensive price of $4.00-$5.00 found at any online retailer.I have an idea that this supplement would do well in conjunction with Al-Qadem: Arabian Adventures (Which I Have Not Yet Purchased Or Read). I plan to get it next and when I do I will compare and contrast the two. A. Nathaniel Wallace, Jr.
