I bought this as a gift for my 11 yr old nephew who spent a night on the actual battleship. This book is great! Terrific photos! Lots of history too!

Not what I expected from a 5 star rating. Good pictures of NJ but mostly in home waters. Far too many shots of 'people' pictures with their names and civilian political ranking. Boring!! These all two frequent, completely unnecessary Ma And Pa Kettle pics are equal to watching the Oscars for 4 hrs and trying to endure all those boring, endless names given by every oscar recipient. When we ordered it we knew that it was in acceptable condition and It really was not bad. My husband loved the pictures of the ships and how they were explained - overall great book!

Very good reference work for scale modelers. This history of the New Jersey is part of a rather small selection on the Iowa class battleships.
