They don't squeeze my ankles and I have big ankles. As for durability time will tell. I humbly suggest that Fitville makes a more rugged version of these, with cladding on the toe like it has on the heel, metal eyelets for laces instead of the loops, and a more aggressive tread on the sole. The sole here is more like a tennis shoe but provides great cushion and decent grip. The main feature of these boots is comfort though. Fitville does make a more rugged looking waterproof boot, but I doubt they are as light and flexible as this mesh fabric upper. These boots look great too and could be used as casual footwear. They are suited for many different kinds of work, eg. warehouse, kitchen, construction, security, hotel or even in the office. Just get a pair because they look so good. I will update after a couple of weeks, but I'm really glad I've found these boots. I want to try their other shoes too. So hard to find shoes for big wide feet. Highly recommended. My foot feel like it's got the whole ville to fit in, finally a shoe that can fit my orthopedic insert and not cost 350 bucks that breaks from mild heat and use. Size was accurate and the extra wide toe box is very rare with hard toes of any kind. The toe cap actually doesn't pinch in and become small as heck.
