Universal WiFi Repeater Kit for Sharing Remote Internet Locally

Great product. Brought it to India and used it constanly to make sure we had internet all the time. Increased my internet range by leaps and bounds. It was possible to get wifi using the booster where as with the laptop I was unable to "see" anything.Easy to use and pretty much point and shoot.The small tripod works extremely well and is invaluable to set it up daily. If you were in one place all the time it would be better to use the included clamps and set it up permanently. The included tripod is perfect for easy quick set up whilst on the move.I found the cables supplied were long enough and not too long.I plugged the cable straight into my laptop from the booster.The price is good value especially if you compare it to the cost of buying internet access on a daily basis or even if you compare it to no internet access. I was fed up with hotels charging for internet access everywhere I went so this was a great solution. Cannot recomend it enough.

Very useful for travelling and connecting to wifi networks from a distance. I had no problems myself using this, but please note this isn't for non-technical people - connecting via RDP to a raspberry pi and configuring it is slightly more difficult than most similar devices. I managed to follow the instructions without a problem.In the package you get an antenna, a mini tripod, USB leads and a WiFi repeater and Raspberry Pi. The Pi is the server which captures a WiFi network via the antenna and rebroadcasts it using the WiFi repeater to your local computer. It's quite a flexible set-up and could be used for a number of reasons. Some attention should be paid to local laws regarding using other people's wifi as it is likely to be the kind of distinction local law enforcement would not understand.It looks a bit sinister; you may want to consider not using it near sensitive places such as airports and government buildings.

Remarkable piece of kit. Really does what it's supposed to do! I was able to pick up open wi-fi up to 3- 4 miles away with this, receiving at least a usable "3 bars" reception. Most built up areas have open wi-fi hot spots (libraries, bars, hotels, service stations etc) With this clever little antenna you can enjoy free wi-fi on the move. Highly recommended!

Exactly as it said it would do.... can use a 9db antenna instead of the yagi for indoors (rubber duck ariel) and get same signal strength.

What you see is what you get. Absolutely amazing piece of technology !! I've been using this booster for more than 5 years. Never had a single problem. I only use it when we go on holidays. The nearest wifi connection is more than 200 meters away from the house and it works really well. I create a hotspot and I share the connection with the rest of the family. I left it accidentally two times in the rain and it still works. Please, don't try to repeat this experience, just in case!

Outstandingly successful. Increased my wifi sources from 1 (my own) to 6 which is amazing as I live in an isolated rural location.The wifi signal on my laptop at 100m distance from the router and through two 50cm stone walls, was identical to that obtained when the lap top was connected directly to the router by 1m of ethernet! I cannot fault this device though it is worth noting that it probably wouldn't last too well if mounted permanently outdoors, though in view of its high gain and directional characteristics this is unlikely to be necessary.

This booster does exactly as described.On holiday at Barmouth and was picking up signals across Cardigan Bay from Haven and other resorts at Pwllheli on the other coastline.Would recommend this product to anyone.
