Description
- Chinese Checkers (Chinese Chequers) is a strategy board game of German origin (named "Sternhalma") which can be played by two, three, four, or six people, playing individually or with partners. The game is a modern and simplified variant of the American game Halma.
- The objective is to be first to race all of one's pieces across the hexagra-shaped board into "home", the corner of the star opposite one's starting corner using single-step moves or moves that jump over other pieces. The remaining players continue the game to establish second, third, fourth, fifth, and last-place finishers. The rules are simple, so even young children can play.
- Handmade using Canadian Hard Maple & Baltic Birch Wood. All lines & numbers are etched (burnt) into the wood (which will never wear over time). Board measures 17 1/2" X 17 1/2"
- Channels are cut into the frame to hold all the marbles. They are locked in place so you can even display the game on the wall and the marbles will stay in the frame. Dovetails joints on all miters to give extra strength and a nice aesthetic appeal.
- This is not just a game, it is a piece of art which can be displayed on the wall. It is an heirloom which can be handed down to your children and their children.
