Genuine Original Soviet Russian Black gas mask GP-5 with black hose Surplus USSR face mask (Medium)

I ordered this and got what I expected. It got to my door in 5 days (I live in texas) which was many days earlier than I expected. Awesome.Nothing was damaged and the mask was in nice condition. It fits my head well and anti-fog works great. As expected, with my medium length hair its a pain to get on as the rubber grips the hair and pulls it but thats normal. It had to be cleaned because it had a powder all over it (which is also expected) and is easily rinsed off in warm soapy water and towel dried.The hose fits great with the mask and is a decent length. It does smell a little strange inside but what did I expect, febreeze apple crisp? It had to be washed out a bit as the inside was a bit dirty and dusty but it wasnt anything a rinse couldnt handle.The filter was an issue thats typical with GP-5 orders. These filters are known to contain asbestos which is poisionous to breath in. It may also be expired inside and have decomposing bits in it. My filter was made in 1980's so its quite aged. I wouldnt risk using the filter. Dont let this keep you from ordering though, this is expected from GP-5 orders. A 40mm NATO filter can be bought off E-bay for cheap.The bag isnt a gas mask bag at all. Its a mahine gun ammo bag. But it still works great at holding the mask and its accesories.It works great with hats. I took pictures. :)

I’ve always wanted a GP-5 and found this one at a decent price. It was shipped and arrived promptly. It smells like an inner tube, but guess what, it’s made of rubber. I had to try it on, I love the way it fits and looks. I’ve washed it and will dust it with some pure unscented talcum powder. I want to find something to put on the rubber to help prolong the life. The screw receptacle on the mask was slightly bent slightly but I was able to straighten it with some needle nose pliers, now the hose screws on easily. Included was a note explaining that the included filter is a newer GP-7 non-asbestos type. Thanks I would certainly recommend and order again.

Received size ordered as well as all things shown. not sure about the usability or age of the filter but you don't really want one of these for actual use anyway. I purchased this solely for novelty use. It was a bit musty but with a quick wash and powder it cleaned up great. Very fun if you're into bizarre looks.

For some reason my son has been obsessed with wanting this, so he bought it with his allowance and he loves it.. We did throw out the filter that came with it and bought a new once just in case.

It was exactly as expected. Very happy with it.
