Good to see this on CD at last
I had most of the singles and the LP some years ago and it's good to have these tracks on cd at last. Though it's disappointing that most tracks had to be dubbed from the original records, the quality isn't that bad, so don't let this put you off. I did think that Georgie's voice was marginal on some songs, particularly the LP tracks, but that was also my opinion when they came out! I happen to like his versions of these songs, and if you do too, you'll like this collection.

Reminiscent in some ways of Sinatra's '50's output, though ...
Reminiscent in some ways of Sinatra's '50's output , though with totally different songs ("wee small hours" is the exception), here Georgie takes a break from his Hammond to create a late night mood album . Very enjoyable . For the rest of this compilation , its back to his usual style , with a rare EP , and a collection of singles , both the A and B sides .All classy stuff .

...includes the fantastic "Entertaining Mr Sloane"
This deserves 5 stars for disc 2 alone, the CBS As & Bs. It includes the fantastic "Entertaining Mr Sloane", a rarity on CD for the first time, I believe.Where possible, the original tapes have been remastered - sounding superb to my old ears. And in cases where the original tapes could not be found, they have been transferred from disc - still sounding good, but not pristine. There's enough prime era 1967-70 Georgie here to bring joy to the world of Fame fans, and lovers of good music in general. A very nice release by BGO Records, including several pages of liner notes and details of the recordings and their release dates.
