TWO YEARS AND STILL WONDERFUL
We love these. We just finished them tonight. The package got shifted to the back of the refrigerator with about half still in the bag. I found them when I cleaned the fridge about three weeks ago. (I shall be cleaning the fridge more often from now on. A schedule is a good thing for old people.) They are so good and add something wonderful to our snacking. I like to pick a handful each of three things for snack, usually a cracker, a fruit and a nut. No problem finding crackers and nuts but Angel tells me that Apples and Bananas are not food so something as tasty as these Cherries really help with variety. They just plain taste sooo good. (By the way, Angel is my constant companion. She is very furry and is a healthy 12 years old.)

So much flavor and great texture. Not too dry.
Four pounds of dried cherries is a lot of cherries, but I love them and they are reputed to be helpful for arthritis, which I have. These do have some sugar added, but, from the flavor, I don't think it is very much sugar. These are somewhat moist -- not all dried up like hard raisins -- maybe something like the texture of chewing gum a minute after putting it into your mouth. I separated the cherries into four separate freezer bags and froze three of them for after I finish off the first one. The flavor is hard to describe, maybe between fresh cherries and sweet tart cherry candy. It sounds cliche, but it really is sort of a burst of flavor in your mouth. I love them and will be buying more when these are gone. I bought them as an Amazon Pantry item which lowered the cost from a one-time purchase. If you like cherries, you will not be disappointed with these.

Addictive Snacking Ahead
Fabulous Product. I discovered these cherries in late 2015. Since then, I have ordered over 20 boxes in two and a half years. These are the best dried cherries I have found. They are plump and tasty, with the natural tartness balanced with just the right amount of sugar. They are great for snacking by themselves, used in recipes and are fabulous in trail mix. Traverse Bay also makes a chocolate covered version that I buy for a holiday treat when entertaining: Traverse Bay Fruit Chocolate Covered Dried Cherries, 4 Pound .My favorite trail mix recipe, what I call Perfect Mix, is equal parts Traverse Bay Dried Cherries, Planters Lightly Salted Cocktail Peanuts Planters Cocktail Peanuts, Lightly Salted, 16 Ounce Canister and Blue Diamond Lightly Salted Almonds Blue Diamond Almonds, Low Sodium Lightly Salted, 16 Ounce . If you try it, I am sure you'll like it.Some reviews & questions mention pits, and there are occasional pits...a reality that seems inevitable with a mechanically pitted fruit. Pits are rare enough that you can go multiple boxes without any, but they will occasionally happen.

Great for Snacks and Recipies
Ive bought these so many times ive lost count. The are excellent cherries. The main thing i like aobut them, is that they are still pretty soft and chewy. A problem i have with most store bought ones is that they taste like theyve been sitting in the store for a long time and seem rather dry and tasteless. These are practically juicy. Thats likely due to the sunflower oil they use to keep them from clumping together. Thanks to that sunflower oil, i never have a problem scooping them out. Scoops and spoons dont get stuck between 2 stuck together pieces. They flow and roll easily and are very easy to work with. This makes them easy to add to other dishes, recipes, or cereals on a whim. One thing to keep in mind is the sugar that was added. So whether they are being eaten as a snack or added to a recipe, you do need to be careful you dont overdo it on the sugar. But i think it just makes them taste better.

Consistently Good Dried Cherries
This is my 2nd review for this product. I continue to purchase from this seller b/c the cherries are delicious & well-priced. I have oatmeal almost every day - Winter & Summer - and first tried dried cherries about 2 years ago on it. Am now officially-spoiled - they're SO much better than raisins. The hot water re-plumps the cherries & now I don't think I could ever go back to having raisins on oatmeal. I'd feel like I was slumming - LOL. Now also add them to Greek yogurt & lecithin - also very VERY good. I usually use 1-2 tbsp cherries per day & a 4-lb bag usually lasts me 2-3 months.

Did you know 20 cherries are 10 times as potent as aspirin?
What everyone says about these cherries is 100% right! These cherries are plump, tart/sweet and so so versatile! I used to try to buy dried cherries from the grocery store in 4 oz. or 6 oz. packages...now I have 64 oz. to play with! I use them for virtually everything but just out of the bag is my #1 choice. I am so very happy that Traverse Bay cherries are available at Amazon for a fraction of the price of those small grocery packs. If you love cherries you will love these!****I just ordered another 8 lbs of these cherries! I am ADDICTED!Did you know 20 cherries are 10 times as potent as aspirin and have positive effects on arthritis pain?Did you know these cherries are an excellent source of boron (linked to increased bone health)?Did you know these cherries promote better sleep (rich source of melatonin)?

Wonderful Flavor
We love these Traverse Bay Fruit Dried Cherries. For years I have gone to the Traverse City area during the summer and have always brought home several boxes of these dried cherries. They are fresh and add great flavor to salads and to the oatmeal that we have for breakfast during the winter. This year I was unable to go so I was thrilled when I was able to find and purchase them. I will purchase them again.

Tasty, tart, plump
I do a lot of baking, and these are so much better than the small packs of dried cherries that you buy in the grocery store. To call them plump is a bit of a contradiction since they are dried, but they are plump.I was fortunate enough to get a tad over 4 lbs. Just a tad. I repackaged into freezer bags at a half a pound a piece. Those little leftovers... Well they're not leftovers anymore. Very, very tasty. Will definitely buy again when these are used up.
