The Zend-Avesta, Volumes 1-2 Paperback – 21 August 2017

My criticism of this book will deal with the quality of the printing.PROS: It was great that Parts I and II, which are volumes 4 and 23 respectively, of the “Sacred Books of the East” translation of the Zend-Avesta were combined into a single volume. Part III is reprinted in a second volume. The letters are not hard to read, and for the most part the text is straight, considering that this reprint is made from a scanned copies.CONS: As mentioned above since this reprint is made from scanned copies there are small imperfections that were introduced during the scanning process, which should have been corrected. For example, several pages of the volume have a black vertical line running through the inner margin. Those lines could have easily been removed using A PDF editor or photo editing software.As a reading copy, this reprint serves its purpose, which is to make the only complete English translation of the Zend Avesta available for today’s readers.
