T&G Knife Block in Hevea with Slots for 5 Knives and Scissors/Steel

This item was solidly built, and good quality for the price paid, but I have returned it as it does not accommodate my kitchen knives.I have recently started building up a collection of Wusthof knives, as I am a keen amateur cook. I had them banging around in an awful cutlery tray, so decided I'd take better care of my investment.Unfortunately my largest knife (Wusthof Classic 20cm) does not fit in the largest slot on the block. These knives have fairly deep blades, but mine is not the biggest in the range by a long way!The result is disappointing in two regards. The knife blade sticks out of the block by a good two inches. Firstly this looks slightly ridiculous. Secondly, this results in the knife jamming into the slot, putting unnecessary pressure on the blade.In short, if you have a selection of quality knives, buy this item with caution, as it may not accommodate the deeper blades common on these.

Good quality block although I wasn't chuffed by the large sticker on one side which took 10 minutes of careful soaking and scraping to remove!! We bought this block because we have a good collection of knives so we didn't want to buy a block with knives included, however....the knives we have don't fit terribly well into the slits so now I am starting to think we should have bought a block with knives included. But apart from that, it is a good product, very sturdy and the wood is attractive to look at.

I would recommend this product! It is substantial and fits a wide variety of knifes! It also looks very smart.

The little rubber blocks fell off and some of the wood was split. The shop we bought it from exchanged it straight away and we are happy with the new block.
