I bought this on the recommendation of a physiotherapist. I have a closed wound with scar tissue. The scar tissue needs regular manipulation and massage to help break down the scar tissue and make the wound more pliable.The reason for this particular massager was its variable speed function and variable types of massager ie. Different types of pulses.
