Lancaster Colony Marinex Glass Ramekin Bake Dish, 6-1/2-Ounce

I will purchase any baking/cooking glass that still is made with boron trioxide. Borosilicate glass/lab glass/erie blue-green glass, whatever you want to call it, doesn't expand as much as other types, so it's safer, especially for the uncareful who might take these cups from a hot oven to a slightly wet surface, such as a cool granite countertop--not a good idea, BTW, for any glass. These cups will probably be fine . . . butNew Pyrex and other non-borosilicate glass has a good chance of shattering if placed 'very hot' on a cool surface or in a freezing environment.I'm not condemning the other products, if you're not careless, you have a wider--and cheaper--selection of great cook wear. If you're absent minded or dim, you might be better off with the Marinex or Arcusine borosilicate products (they may have an environmental cost to the manufacturer though, keeping the chemical correctly stored and safe)

These do not stack well. Bump them a little bit and they slip off of each other. They feel sturdy but if you need them to stack you do not want these.

Received these swiftly and in perfect condition. They are the perfect size for custard-type desserts, salsa and condiments and are used daily. Good quality. Look good on the table. Highly recommend!!
