KJV Large Print Pew Bible Black

I have bought three KJV Large Print Pew Bibles as I wanted one for each of my three study desks.I really wanted one that was NOT Red Letter so I first bought this one by Hendrickson (ISBN-13: 978-1598562934) as this was the only one of the three available with black lettering. However, the print was so small I really couldn't use it.So I thought I'd have to accept a Red Letter Edition and bought the one by Zondervan (ISBN-13: 978-0310941781), now the print was slightly larger but still not ideal, BUT the Red Lettering was really pale and as I sometimes like to highlight my Bibles, even with my yellow highlighter the Red Lettering would have been obscured.I then saw this one by Thomas Nelson (ISBN: 9780718096793) so I did a comparison on the three websites and this one had the largest lettering so I though I'd give it one more shot and bingo!!This Bible has a lovely Large and somewhat more bolder print than the other two, and even more helpful was that the Red Lettering is a deep "Blood Red" colour that will easily take highlighting of most of the lighter colours.So, if you want a true large print reading Bible then the "Thomas nelson" is the one to buy.However, remember it is just a "Pew" Bible so doesn't include referrences or concordance (I wish they would have a short concordance in Pew Bibles, but I guess they do what it says on the tin so-to-speak)

NOT QUITE WHAT I EXPECTEDI'm returning this - when I opened it I noticed that it isn't the usual KJV, different introduction etc. The photos appear to be a matte leather, it's very shiny!DAMAGEDThe covers didn't align properly, the front was fine, the back cover at the top just met the edge of the pages and the bottom of the pages protruded from the cover slightly. I started flicking and found pages inside torn and stuck together.My suspicion is that this was just a faulty book in a batch. However I was unimpressed, and am sending it back.

Beautiful compact Bible the print is actually medium and doesn't cause eye strain like many other compact Bibles. The words of Christ are in red and it has topical headings within the text which is really helpful to locate particular events in scripture when searching, it is also has scriptural references within the text. Overall really happy with it, the external is strong and durable. The actual print is dark but light helping you to read the medium print with ease.

I rarely, if ever, have been disappointed with an order but when I ordered my new Bible the photo of the item, and I'm sure the description of said that it would have a magnetic fastener. The one that arrived didn't. The photo that I now find in this review that I have been asked to complete has both the magnetic fastener and standard cover Bibles shown, but I am not mistaken, the order that I made only showed the magnetic fastener. If I did read the description incorrectly then the blame is my own, but sadly the photo of the item ordered was of a pink magnetic fastener Bible. The one that arrived was brown. I have no colour preference just hoped for a more safer surround. I have not returned as this would be too costly.

I love this version. For years I’ve used the NT version which is perfect for a jacket pocket etc, and I was so glad to find the full version in the same font etc. I like the way it’s laid out.

When I placed an order for this, I was searching for a bible with flip cover, so I assumed since it appeared under my search results, and the image shows a bible with a flip cover (besides one without a flip cover), I was going to get a bible with a flip cover. However I recieved the one without a flip cover. i'm not sure if there was an option to select cover type hence I won't want to say the image was misleading.I'm keeping the purchase anyways.

Perfect. I replaced my old Bible with the exact same one. It’s easy to navigate. Slim yet the text is a very good size. I love this Bible and refer to it every day.

Good size Bible and easy to read print, but spoilt somewhat by having paragraphs. When using this Bible in church I am usually the last person to find a verse because it's hidden in a paragraph. The imitation leather is good though - nothing like leather of course, but good nevertheless - and the colour is okay. The magnetic clasp is also very good.
