Clipper 6x18 is a 3D printed panoramic pinhole camera that brings new world technology to old school photography. Originally created as a Kickstarter stretch goal and treasured by those who use it, Clipper has a curved backplane with extremely wide 136 degree views and no light falloff at the ends. Each Clipper is individually printed in durable black plastic on a 3D printer and assembled by the artist, and a roll of color film is included to start with. A pinhole camera is photography in its simplest form with no lenses or digital functions. Pinhole cameras offer a unique perspective on the world that can't be duplicated with lenses or digital cameras. Well worth the price tag. This is an excellent pinhole camera!
This is without a doubt an excellent camera! Kudos to the designer who has clearly taken the utmost care in implementing a well-conceived device. The parts fit beautifully and loading film is surprisingly easy, given that it has to be precisely loaded between the front and rear film guides inside the camera. (Its easier than it looks) One of the many nice features of the Clipper 6x18 is the brilliant spring-loaded shutter mechanism! It operates smoothly and precisely, but of course - you have to have a cable release to use it (the larger of the two standard thread sizes). You could use the shutter hand-held, but the cable release is recommended, of course.I immediately shot and processed a roll of Tmax 100 film in the camera to check the functionality of the camera and the "lens" quality, and I was not disappointed in the least. The results are sharp and clear: https://nitrogenseekers.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/clipper-test001-edit.jpgPlease note the following in regard to the photo I am showing: the vignetting effect was added AFTER processing the film, as a Lightroom-generated effect. The camera does NOT vignette (darken at the outer edges) appreciably on its own. On the contrary, exposure is quite consistent from corner to corner.I recommend this camera without hesitation. Nicely done!

Great panoramic pinhole camera
I have been shooting pinhole cameras since 2008. My workhorse camera for years has been the Zero Image 6x6. I have some other pinhole cameras, some homemade, some made by others, but I always reverted to the Zero, mostly because it is really reliable and I like the look. I started to crave a new camera, though, and started looking around. Most of the pinhole cameras available weren't much different from cameras I already had. I don't need another 6x6 with 25mm focal length. And since I travel a lot, I don't need a giant, anamorphic behemoth. Durability was also a concern, since when I travel, the cameras get knocked around a bit.Enter the Clipper! With an impressive 6x18 format, it is way different than any of the other cameras I have. Being 3D printed, it is very light weight and durable. It is made to accept a cable release, and once installed, it worked perfectly. Even though the format is panoramic, the curved film plane limits distortion. The curved film plane is a feature to be aware of. If you, like me, are a huge fan of ultra-wide cameras with crazy distortion, the Clipper will not give you that! It is designed to give you a nice pinhole panorama with limited to no distortion. You get the long exposures that allow for motion blur, but none of the crazy stretching at the edges one gets with ultra-wide cameras.I had a brief hiccup with loading the film, and for this reason I urge you to READ THE ENCLOSED INSTRUCTIONS before loading your film. Do as I say, and not as I did, and save yourself half a shredded roll of film. This is a new format for me, so my initial comps are rather uninspired. Here is a link to the few that I have so far. I look forward to using this camera more and getting some cool images. https://www.flickr.com/photos/dstewart_pdx/sets/72157652706465041I contacted the manufacturer a couple of times via e-mail, and he was very responsive and helpful. Overall, highly recommended!

This would make a great gift to yourself or any pinhole enthusiast in your life.
I am still blown away by my first roll's results. A cable release is a must since your fingers will get in the way of the super wide angle view. The curved plane helps eliminate distortion that flat planed cameras can cause. The images remind me of the Horizon camera line. The construction is surprisingly strong and it is super easy to load and use. I would happily recommend to any pinhole enthusiast.Sample photo attached

Clever design with Great Workmanship at a Great Price
I am really impressed with this camera. Any camera, of course, is just a tool, but I admire the thought that went into this design and the care with which the craftsman of this camera took in getting things right. On the day I received the camera, I also received an email message with extra tips and follow-up information for use. I appreciate the personal touch. When you buy this camera, you buy it from a person who takes great pride in his workmanship. This camera is also just a great design. An excellent way to get into pinhole photography, and really, a great introduction to larger format panoramic photography without the hassle of sheet photography. Everything is done on a 120 roll. These are my first impressions, but I just want to say I am very pleased with this purchase.

Clipper 3-D printed pinhole camera
I have been making pinhole photographs for many years, and have lectured and given workshops on pinhole photography. This is a wonderful camera! I was intrigued by the fact it is 3-D printed, never having seen anything made this way. I love the panoramic format, too. I also received an email from the maker with detailed and very helpful instructions on loading the camera, and I found that his exposure chart was pretty accurate after I processed a roll of film. I had one problem: there was a thin light line which appeared on the negatives on each frame. I emailed Clint about it and included a photo of the negatives. He emailed me back very quickly and pinpointed the cause exactly. Problem solved, and I'm looking forward to many wonderful pinhole images!

Intelligently designed, Joy to use, Make stunning pictures.
There are plenty of pinhole cameras on the market and you can even make one from tin cans and cardboard boxes but this one is the only I have seen that has a curved back. This one feature alone makes it stand out over all other pinhole cameras. Hats-off to the designer/maker of this camera.Light, well designed, easy to use and stunning results. Couldn't ask for more. If you are looking for a pinhole camera then this one is the top of the bunch IMO.

Camera works perfect.
Took a bit to load it. You have to load film carefully. After practice I shot a roll. Camera works perfect.

Nice camera, easy to use!
As a big time pinhole photographer as well as a pinhole camera maker I am very happy with this camera. One question however..how do I go about getting the other film frame for the clipper? I see nothing offered.
