The media could not be loaded.  I was given this blanket as a gift from a friend and I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to have one! I've been wanting one for few years now because I have very bad anxiety when it comes to finally hitting the sack, but now with the blanket going to sleep has been surprisingly easy!As of writing this review, I've had the blanket for a little over two weeks now and I can easily say that it's improved my sleeping when compared to my old sleeping schedule. It's my first time ever owning a weighted blanket, so I'm not too sure how to judge it, but the weight of the blanket overall is personally really nice. It's not too heavy where it feels like your suffocating, but not too light where it feels like it's barely there. It's just right! The only thing I do have to say that slightly bothered me was the fact there was no weight on the corners and sides of the blanket. So sometimes when I moved around the edge and outside of the blanket felt sometimes light and it didn't feel like there was any sort of weight there, but since I don't really know what weighted blankets are normally like, I can't say that my tiny little pet peeve is too big or too small of an issue. Besides from that, I really adore this blanket and I can't find a place to complain about it!Now my actual personal experience with it; I have very bad anxiety when I finally hit my head on the pillow. I have a MAJOR fear over the dark and it's a main reason why I can't sleep at night. I tried noise machines, listening to music, night lights, and even burning oils to help me calm me down but it never works! I can't count all the nights how many times I laid in bed tossing and turning because of my anxiety keeping me up. When I got the blanket, I was a tad skeptical that it would help me with my fear of the dark, but as soon as I got under the blanket and hit my head on the pillow I fell RIGHT to sleep with no issue at all. I thought I was losing my mind when I woke up from an actual good night's sleep the next morning. After a week I even went back to my old blanket and I noticed such a HUGE difference when I did. If I can even notice the difference one night of not using it, I'm positive that it has helped me immensely the past two weeks of owning it!Overall, I think it's an amazing blanket despite my little complaint. It works just as it intended to be and it has helped a lot with my sleep schedule by a landslide! I highly recommend it to those who are wanting to try out a weighted blanket for their first time and/or needing it to improve their attempts at sleeping like myself! The shipping was fast and no hassle at all. Just be ready to carry in a heavy box when it arrives at your home! It was.... a fun time for my family to see me haggle in this very heavy box for twenty minutes just for them to find out it was my blanket haha!

This 15 pound blanket is perfect for me; however, my pre-teen son prefers the 10 pound weighted blanket, even though we are about the same size. This Doctor of Physical Therapy believes that kids and teens may prefer and benefit from a lighter weighted blanket than would an adult of comparable weight/size. It's something to consider when choosing and trying to figure out the right weighted blanket for people who are still growing. If you are still growing you might prefer lighter compressive forces than an adult of the same size would.

This blanket is just what I needed! The weight is well distributed, it's soft, durable and beautiful. I have restless leg syndrome, widespread chronic pain, insomnia, as well as other issues. This blanket calms me, calms my body and helps me get a great night of sleep! I wasn't sure at first and had been thinking about these and looking at them for a long time. For the price I decided to give this one a try and I'm so glad I did!

I have severe RSL, fibromyalgia, and anxiety. I don't sleep well. I went to my doctor for my prescritions for my kegs and he suggested a weighted blanket. I read reviews of many of the blankets on Amazon and kept coming back to this blanket. I liked reading that it is made of quality material, has double stitching, and non-smelly fill. So I bit the bullet and ordered. It is definitely not the most expensive, kind of mid-range in price. I kept reminding myself that the reviews were great. I was excited waiting for it to come. I ordered it on Saturday and got it the following Tuesday. I immediately unpacked it, laid it on my bed and got under it. Wow! I got the 17 pounder, and it's a dandy. It took several nights to fully get used to it, but the first night I slept 5 hours straight. I don't remember moving. Best of all, my legs weren't jumpy for the first time in a looong time. I'm used to the blanket now. Once I'm in bed, I'm in and I don't wake up nearly as much. I guess I feel more secure. I love this blanket. It is changing my life because I'm getting quality sleep and I feel so much better during the day. Try it! You may like it!

I bought two. I read all the reviews and it was worth the price of admission to try this blanket. Noone else mentioned this. But...This blanket wads together and slides off. I can't seem to keep myself covered. When part of it slides off the end of the bed, the weight follows gravity and the blanket continues its cascade to the floor. During the night when I wake up and find it missing, I grab the blanket and muscle it back into position. It takes some serious tugging to get it back on the bed properly. I am worried the blanket fabric will rip apart during my nocturnal tug of war sessions.I am not giving up on this blanket yet. I WANT this blanket to work!Plan B: I decided to fold the blanket in half and try it that way. I don't like the weight on my feet and thought that might be part of the reason the blanket was being tossed. I reasoned that maybe more weight would keep it in place. I carefully got in bed making sure the blanket was folded in half, centered and in position. Feet free. The blanket did not remain in place overnight. It was beside me and completely twisted up by morning. This is frustrating. The blanket simply will not stay in place. Perhaps I am an active sleeper. But, I don't think I am. I stay on my half of our bed. I plan to give this blanket 2 more nights. If it continues sliding off, I will need to return it as I have had no benefit from using it.I have the 17 lb blanket.I am sorry to say, this blanket has flunked the sleep test. I can NOT stay covered. The entire purpose of this blanket is to place weight on top of your body so that you feel swaddled. It cannot do that when it will not stay in place.The quality of the fabric, the weight, etc of the blanket seem fine. Unfortunately, since the blanket wanders elsewhere at night, I will be returning it and downgrading my rating to one star.

It was my daughter who had mentioned the weighted blanket to me. She used to put books and all kinds of heavy things on her bed to sleep. I didn't understand because I have never had this issue. We gave it to her at Christmas and totally loves it. She feels secure.

It does not seem heavy when you first start using it but then if you leave it on your bed and you crawl into bed you’ll find that it really is heavy and comfortable talking it right around your body for support I love it
