This does what it's supposed to do -- provide many USB ports. I'm not sure why each port needs an on-off switch. What I didn't like was how tight the two plug connections were. The data plug leaves little room for the power plug when inserted into the end of the module. I felt like the power plug was bending a bit. I suppose I could take a knife and whittle down the data plug, but it's not a good design.

It works as a standard USB hub. However, the power adapter connection is the wrong size. It will not physically plug all the way into the hub's power port. Which means, of course, that it's not actually powered. The reason I bought it was to have a powered USB extension hub. I already had a non-powered one; now I have two.

My macbook pro has 2 USB ports, of which one is currently broken (and not easily repairable). So when I ordered this, I was looking for a product that would have charging functionality, as well as USB reading capabilities. The Multi Port 7-Port USB 3.0 data hub fulfills this function beautifully, while coming in one sleek package. The seven ports each have their own on/off circuit breakers, which allow me to save power on ports that I am not currently using, while selectively powering the ports that I am using. All the ports work great, as advertised, and speeds are adequate for transferring large amounts of data because of the USB 3.0 technology used on each of the hub's ports.The product did come with an extra power cable that I was unable to find where to use, as the only cable that is necessary is the included smaller blue cable that connects from your USB port to the hub.All in all, I am satisfied with the product, and would recommend it if you need more USB slots for your computer, especially at this price range!

Never recognized any external drives, either USB thumb drives or external hard drives. It would constantly disconnect/reconnect my USB headset. USB keyboard would also not reconnect after the laptop went to sleep. Two stars because it didn't actually damage my PC.

It might work for a laptop, but nothing else, cord does not plug into it correctly, so is useless as a plug in charger, takes eons to get any charge.

Works well and does the job as stated.
