I live in the UK and had a waffle blanket with me that I had since I was 15 in the states. As time does with everything, it was slowly falling apart where I couldn't risk washing it any more; and as we are now getting into the winter season in the UK I had to buy a new blanket. After 4 failed attempts of buying something similar to what I had, had for so long I decided to risk buying a blanket on the amazon u.s. site in hopes that I would like what I buy compared to the four returns I did here in the UK on blankets. That being said, I am quite pleased with this blanket. It is slightly thinner than my old one, but it very well woven together where little air gets through. I've had this blanket for a few weeks now and I really like it. It's light but not too light, keeps me warm enough for now as were in the beginning of the winter season here as well. The only downside is that I wished I didn't purchase the white one only because of fear permanent staining. Just one other quick note for those interested in buying this blanket, the King size is absolutely enormous! I mean ridiculously enormous.....which isn't a bad thing I suppose unless you have a small washer/dryer

A great price on a 100% cotton blanket. I'm so tired of the micro fleece, polyester and every synthetic fabric out there. There's noting nicer than a cotton blanket, and this hand woven one is nice. The king size fits just about right, with the right amount of overhang on each side, and the right amount of tuck-in material at the foot of the mattress.UPDATE: I thought I'd come back and update this blanket after a few months of use. I had to change my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. And I changed my title from "very nice" to "very nice....if".And the if is, you must use this blanket underneath another one. In that case it's a "very nice" cotton weave blanket.BUT.......the "if" is, if you use it as a top blanket, it will pull strings terribly. As I looked at mine today I had at least 6 different big loops of weave sticking up from the blanket, and there is no real way to pull them back down inside that I have found.The problem seems to be that that weave is not tight enough to prevent pulls and snags from thing like your finger nails when you make the bed. My other cotton weave blanket does not do this and it's a much tighter weave. And if you get a pull, you really can't cut it because if you do, then the whole blanket comes apart.Use it underneath and you'll like it for the price for a 100% cotton weave blanket. Use it on top, and you'll ruin it fast.

I love this blanket. I bought it in the purple and cream. I am only giving it a 4 because they are actually not the same size. The purple is slightly smaller in width. But, my blankets are not there for appearance, hence still up at the 4 rating. They have washed beautifully and did not fade or shrink after 2 washings. The weight is perfect. I live in Florida and when we have a night that we term cold, I like the windows open and let the house get down to the 50's and use both of them on the bed - snug and warm and wonderful! (I love free air conditioning.) The rest of the time, when the house is 68 - 72, one is perfect for me. These blankets were exactly what I was looking for.

This is a decent blanket for the warmer months where a heavy blanket is too much. The pattern is nice and the overall weight of the blanket is what I was expecting for a cotton blanket. The color is a tad on the lighter side though it still fits in with my bedroom decor. I washed this blanket before putting it on my bed in warm water and on a medium dryer setting, it did not shrink or start to unravel. Even though I have a queen size bed I ordered a king size blanket to ensure that it would still fit on my bed properly if it did shrink, I was hoping that it wouldn't shrink because I wanted the blanket to go past my sheets to the carpet. For the price this blanket is a good deal and is high quality.

I love a good heavy weight blanket. This one has that weight to it and the color is beautiful. That beautiful color however gets all over my bedroom. Overtime the blanket will steadily fuzz ball off into the corners of your bed, your hair, your dryer. I've had it for at least 5 years and it's still going strong (color has probably faded a little) but also still getting fuzz everywhere.

I bought two blankets. This is a duplicate review of the first. Very nice blanket. Soft and thicker than expected. It was not too heavy. It worked great for me. There was some odor when I removed the packaging. Almost all the odor went away after I washed it twice before the first use. I tend to be sensitive to smells so others who buy the product may not have a concern. After a few days the odor was completely gone. There was a moderate amount of lint ... but not an extreme amount considering it is cotton. I did not experience any shedding from the blanket when I first used it. There was some shrinkage but the amount was acceptable to me.

Updated Review on 3/15/19Since that initial washing, hardly any 'lint' comes off when I wash and dry the blanket. I really like it. My cat really does, too. In fact, I would like to see this offered in a 50" by 60" throw. I would also like to see it offered in a hunter green or a lighter forest green color.---------------------------I love it and so does my cat. I use this underneath an IKEA duvet and am perfectly warm under it, when the weather is cold. Warning, however: on the first wash, a LOT of 'lint' comes off. Actually, more than lint. It's like part of my blanket came off, but it's still fully intact. So, I think it's fine. I hope all came off that is going to come off. We'll find out when I wash it again.
