Pieces are little
Just got it and I ran out of little sticks already. The magnets held pretty well when I poured the metal balls on top. I like it.

The balls are not magnetic. Only the rods.
This would get 5 stars if the description made it clear that the balls are not magnetic. When reading the details, it is written in a way that it is not clear that only the rods are magnetic. Since so many magnetic balls are sold, and it is not clearly defined, I assumed the balls would be magnetic too, and interchangeable with rainbow colored magnetic balls we have. I went back and read the description, and can see that it can be read that the balls are not magnetic, but even knowing that they are not magnetic, I still consider the description too vague.

These are a lot of fun. Be warned- they are very tiny. Definitely not ideal for little kids. Elementary age can use them fine, but for reference, the little sticks are maybe 3/4" long. They are really more for teens and adults, but they are fun.

Fun but breakable
Bought as a gift for a friend and one for myself, definitely entertained by the magnets. Me and my roommates always play with them when we’re chatting at the dinner table, unfortunately some of the long magnets have broke in half. A little delicate but still fun.

5 rods broke in the first hour
Bought for my teenage grandson. He was building with it when rods began to break. The break edges are rough and not safe.

Broke almost immediately
This was so amazing and fun for like 20 minutes the magnets all started breaking. Tiny parts broke even tinier. It was disappointing.

Nice item for fidgetting with, but not cheap
I bought this to fidget with while I was on the phone in work, as my calls can take a while to complete. Although it is quite good fun and you can make some creative structures, the pieces are quite small and all in all the item is fairly expensive for what it is. It is well crafted and will last a life time, if it was cheaper, I would be more inclined to recommend it more. It would make a good stocking filler for the kids, this time of year, you would just need to be careful with the small pieces, but it would keep them quiet for some time, if they have a good imagination or are in any way creative. I would like to recommend it higher, but for the price, I think 3 stars is fair.

only bars are magnetic not the balls dont be fooled
good product but from the write up sounds like you are buying magnetic bars and magnetic balls,WRONG, the bars ARE magnetic but the balls are just metal balls. for the money i paid nearly double to others sold on amazon and other sites for the same thing and i done this thinking all the things were magnetic, i feel ripped off by cute wording of the product.

Flimsy packaging can lead to breakage of rods, original aluminium box in picture not provided
The picture of the product shows a sophisticated aluminium box in which the product can be kept safely. When I received the product, it came in a flimsy plastic box not much bigger than a matchbox. The pieces are very much breakable as I have read in the reviews and will will safe only in the cushioning in the aluminium box, not the flimsy plastic matchbox.

Too few bits and pieces
It is very good and neat, the amount of sticks can be too few to do anything with it.I ended up buying a second one just to get a decent amount
