Shelf on Wheels 89 Expandable Roll-Out Wire Cabinet Shelf

Several people indicated how easy this was to install. Not for me!First: The instructions say to mark, drill, and screw down the base but I could not imagine how I would attach the basket to it. There are 4 screws and nuts but to hold those nuts and tighten I would need rubber fingers. And if by chance the base was crooked, the basket could rub the side of the cupboard,Second: Because I assembled the whole unit (after drilling base holes), I had to crawl over the basket to screw down the back of the base...no easy task if you're 70 and a little overweight. In addition, getting a good part of me in the cupboard to see those back holes meant blocking the light. Holding the screw, holding the screwdriver, and holding a flashlight is not a 2 handed job. I invented scores of new expletives!Third: I couldn't attach a picture to show the position of the rails. Because they are vertical, they raise the basket about 2 inches off the shelf. So some lost storage.On the positive side...1. These are very attractive and a heavy gauge. The whole assembly is heavy.2. I liked the expansion feature. My cupboard opening is an odd size.3. Quick delivery. I ordered these on Sunday and had them Wednesday.I do need 2 more but will look around. I did see some similar at Lowe's but the basket wasn't as wired and they attached to the side walls of the cupboard. Mine is a single cupboard with 2 doors but no middle separating wall. So they have to attach to the bottom.Believe it or not, I did order 2 more of these. I checked the stores but couldn't find ones that attached to the bottom and that expanded. This time I installed them as directed. They were also on a higher shelf. I laid a small lamp on the side of the cabinet I wasn't working on. They went in MUCH easier. One of the baskets was missing the flat metal piece to attach it to the base but I found a large washer that served the purpose. I couldn't imagine sending the heavy thing back and waiting for a replacement. Pulling the drawer out did allow me to reach the 2 back screws that attach the basket. Loaded them up but still seem to have lots of leftovers. Lost space at the sides of these but happy with them.

There are such mixed reviews that the only way I could see to judge the product was to actually order. Of the four I received, three were perfect and I have returned the fourth due to a defective weld. I will reorder when it's back in stock. This item is made of heavy-gauge chromed wire and the glide mechanism works smoothly. A couple of reviewers mentioned casters instead of glide tracks, requiring the front of the basket to be held up when pulled out - not on any of mine. Other customers mentioned difficulty manipulating the nut and machine screw holding the basket to the track I concur that this is stupid design, especially since the screws locking the expanding basket halves go right into threaded holes without the need for nuts on back. The thought just occurred to me that wing nuts would probably have been much easier to keep hold of in this situation. What would make this product worthy of five stars? Four out of four items perfect and that pesky attachment design problem fixed.

This item isn't nearly as beefy or as sturdy as they advertise. First, the picture shows it coming out of a regular cabinet. If you expect to use it that way you are in for a big surprise, and not in a good way. It has tiny plastic casters, so unless you want to hold on to it as you are pulling out pots & pans, or put it in a closet floor, don't expect that there will be drawer glides that will hold it in place. 2nd, it is thrown in a poor quality box (from the manufacturer, not the shipping container...thank God it was in a separate box because the nuts and bolts to it were floating around outside of the manufacturer's box.) I didn't even count to see where the nuts were from, or if there were sufficient numbers of wherever they went.

The info was a little misleading. I thought I could attach this on the side of the cabinets, but it must be attached to a shelf under the sliding shelf. This is fine if you are placing it on the bottom of your cupboard, or don't mind losing the space in the cabinet by leaving an existing shelf in the cabinet. It is very nice, slides great, holds lots of wt, but it must be attached to something under it- it will not REPLACE a current shelf in your cabinet. I don't know that this was the seller's fault. I think another person asking questions about it answer incorrectly and that is why I was mislead. BUT I found a use for it in another cabinet. Still looking for a not-too-expensive slide out replacement for a high deep cabinet to REPLACE the current shelves.

This was a total waste of time and money, I sent it back. This contraption arrived in a torn up box inside another carton and was missing parts and hardware ( I have no idea of exactly WHAT was missing because there was no packing list or directions ) and was pretty much a wire basket with four little casters and no way to mount it to anything.

This are well-made products, but the bracket is 2'' high and really reduces and hurts the storage space. I ordered 2 but have only installed one b/c of this. This products only needs brackets that mount on the sides to get 5 stars.

A little difficult to install and wish installation screws were of a little higher quality. Works well after installation.

Packaging was terrible and mounting hardware was missing. Looked like it was a return that was haphazardly re-packaged.
