The arrows on the front do not have to line up to create a seal. Do not over tighten when closing. Browns Eggs: Brown eggs have a thicker shell which can make peeling the eggs more difficult. We suggest to shake brown eggs 5-6 seconds and stop, view inside base and check if peeling process started. If shells are not removed shake a couple more times and repeat process if needed but do not shake too hard to avoid getting broken eggs. If you get a stubborn egg that's not losing it's shell, keep egg in water, in the base, pinch the top of the egg with fingers and massage the shell to slide off.
