Really works. Burns well only ash left no bits. Only problem it recommends changing every six weeks. This item is expensive shall have to see whether it balances out with using less fuel. Not sure it will

I dont think I will be buying another one. It might increase efficiency but how can you tell. What I can tell is it still leaves a lot of ash to clear up. I believe they claim less ash. Because the mesh fits across the fire grate you cant brush the ash through into the collection tray. This means that you have to remove it and it is of course covered in ash which very easily escapes into your house.

Used Firemizer over past few years. The stove burns more evenly when using is, and also we burn less wood

Seems to work quite well. Still doing trials. Doesn’t last, burns out quickly. Been in touch but never got back.

I have just ordered my second Firemizer which demonstrates my satisfaction with the product performance. It definitely reduced my coal & log usage and the ash in the basket was very fine meaning everything which had fallen through was thoroughly burned. I reckon it lasted for about 450 burn hours which I was happy with.Customer Service Note: I had a bit of an issue with the delivery of my first order. I contacted Firemizer directly and they sorted the problem out quickly, in a very efficient and helpful way... exactly what you would hope for from a company's customer service.

Initially I liked it. It did what it says on the packet. I dont keep my fire on overnight although it did make the fire last longer but felt very small and fragile for the money. I have only used it for a few weeks and it has now disintegrated. Would only be tempted to buy another if it was a lot cheaper!

Once I found this product I can’t have a wood burning fire without it, improves the efficiency of the burn.

Very sorry to have to give this product one star. I saw it on Dragons Den and thought it seemed such a clever idea even though the Dragons did not back it. I have tried the Firemizer for four days in my coal fire grate. I have 4 open fires in my house all burning either coal or logs. I did not have much ash but the fire did not burn well and one cannot give a good riddle to get the ash away to get a draught into the fire. My house is Grade 2 listed and has LOTS of draughts for open fires. Also to relay the fire in the morning is such a mucky process. I am an OAP and was brought up with coal fires and am quite an expert in coal fires where we use about a tonne and a half of coal a year, plus logs.
