TOO BRIGHT-Blinding Light
This heating unit is too bright. We use it on our back screened in porch and it was so bright we couldn't keep our eyes open. We exchanged them for the ones we previously purchased which work better and are cheaper.

solid and functional
Unlike other radiant heaters, this model appears well-constructed.It is stable, with a reasonably large and wide base.The dish rotates from horizontal, to about 45 degrees up. Sadly it doesn't rotate down at all.The 800W high setting is kind of scary - I think you could slow-roast meat by just setting it in front of that. Would be nice to have more settings than just low and high.It's fairly bright: On "low" it looks like a ~40W lightbulb. On "high" it looks like a ~100W lightbulb.Caveat: have only used it ~12 hours or so.
