This bulb is great. The quality is surprisingly good, and the brightness of the bulb is very nice. The colors are rich and vibrant! The app allows you to change the color, and set up custom color changing "scenes," and also has pre-set color changing/blinking scenes. You can also set up a schedule for when your bulb should turn on or off, or if you forget to turn off your light, you can turn it off with the touch of a button on the app. This also makes this bulb ideal for those who take long trips, and want to make it appear that someone is home. When setting up, you can name your bulb whatever you like, and place it inside of a room category. For instance, mine is "Front Porch Bulb" in the "Porch" category.While the App set up and install took less than 5 minutes, the app just simply isn't that intuitive. It allows you to create a "family," and when you go to add your family members, it requests their phone number. However, when you sign up on the app, it requests your e-mail, and nowhere in the app could I find where to add a phone number to the account. So instead of making a family, I just had my whole family sign into the app under my account - which works. I was worried it wouldn't let us have multiple phones signed into the same account, but so far so good.So App weirdness aside, this bulb does what it says and looks great!

This bulb is GREAT! Setup was a breeze with the Smart Life app and included instructions. I was connected to WiFi in under 3 minutes, and set everything up to work with Alexa immediately. I will say that the Alexa app says that the device is not responding, however whenever I speak a command the bulb does exactly what I say.Upon first plugging in, the bulb seemed dim and I was prepared to be disappointed. However, simply playing around with the settings between warm/cool and the brightness, our whole living room is perfectly well lit. Integration with IFTTT also works well, and I can have the bulb change when our football team scores, when weather changes are coming, or just about anything else I desire. I’ve also integrated this into routines to come on at certain times of the day, and turn off at bedtime.Overall, very pleased and would highly recommend. The only downside is that it does not yet work with Google Home as advertised.

Why make a product that only works with outdated routers?? All new routers are on the 5Ghz not the 2.4 Ghz system. Even though my router is a dual band router with both systems included, the app can not find the 2.4 Ghz output. I have exhausted my efforts. Very disappointed. Even after spending an hour trying to access various settings with the cable company to no avail.
